Her throat hurt from the smoke, she was uncomfortable not
sleeping in camp, and she was starving. Violet was in a terrible
mood. The beta growled to herself and started looking for the
leader. "Anyone seen Oakley?" the brown and tan she-wolf called
to anyone who happened to be listening.

Up in hearing his name, Oakley approached Violet. "You needed
something?" The alpha said.

"Yeah," she answered quietly. "This fire is destroying the pack!
It's hard to find food, and I'm starving, and I need a proper
bed, and my throat hurts, and-- okay, sorry for whining. But
seriously, we need to fix this somehow."

Feather pranced over to Violet, tail wagging. The news of her
family dying did devastate the pup. That same night she was
told, she was visited by the dead spirits of her parents, who
told her to live on and to the fullest. Obviously, the pup took
the advice, and was trying to get everyone happy again. She sat
down beside Violet, not completely, allowing her bottom to move
back and forth with her tail.

Oakley sighed. "Do you think I should call a meeting? I have a
few ideas, and I'd like to share it with the pack, and maybe
hear some opinions."

"I would," Violet agreed, nodding her head. "What were your
ideas? I thought we could ask some of the other packs for help--
Tree and Hill are pretty friendly." The young she-wolf then
looked down at Feather and grinned. "Hey there!"
