they'll write my destiny]] private

Zakarei made his way to the cliff that had belonged to his pack
before. He hadn't been here in over a year, and coming here
brought back all of his memories. He wasn't here to find food,
like others might think. He was here to remember. The brown wolf
slowly walked over to the den where his brother used to sleep.
He laid down there and breathed in. Somehow, the scent of
Lysandire had lingered, barely. He closed his eyes, trying not
to show any emotion.

Another trespasser? There had just been one yesterday, good
grief! She hoped this was just a coincidence, and that nothing
weird was going on. Shimmer followed the scent tentatively,
until she saw the intruder laying down in a rock. His scent was
quite familiar, but she couldn't quite put a paw on what pack he
came from. "Excuse me?" the small white wolf growled
authoritatively. "This is not your territory. Why are you here?"

He raised his head and looked at Shimmer. He knew he recognized
her... Whatever. Coincidence. "I'm here because my brother died
here," he growled in return, meeting her gaze equally. Zakarei
then stood up. The large brown wolf didn't say anything, just
gave her a cold glare.

"What..? When?" Shimmer scrunched up her face, trying to
remember if she'd ever come across a dead body on the cliffs.
Nope, nothing that she could recall. Perhaps he was lying.
"Don't f*ck with me, because I'll find out," the alpha mumbled
coldly. "I'll let you mourn your 'brother', but I'll be staying
right here in case you try to hurt my pack." Plus, he was kinda
handsome and intriguing. He was so familiar, but where had she
seen him before?

"A year and six months ago," he replied, trying to keep himself
from remembering. "And I won't cause trouble. I wasn't going to
in the first place. I honestly thought nobody came here
anymore." Zakarei turned away and wandered towards the edge of
the huge cliff. He looked at the waterfall and then looked back
to the hidden tunnel in the rock.

"I guess we don't patrol this place often," she mumbled softly.
She'd send a patrol out tomorrow, though. "Are you from a pack?"
the white wolf finally voiced her question. She swore she knew
him.

He tensed up, hoping that she wouldn't recognize him. "I guess
you could say that," Zakarei replied cautiously, meeting her
eyes.

She let out an exasperated sigh. "Well, which one?" She stared
at the male with a questioning gaze, wondering what was up with
him. He looked so anxious, so tense. It was a simple question.

Zakarei grumbled, "That's none of your concern. Even if it was,
I would never think of telling you, because you must have been
there when--" He cut himself off as he realized what he was
saying.
