General BB topics

---------------------------------------------------------
We can start to talk general thing about ship classes and this
topic starts with BBs.
1. If most main guns are placed in front then it is wise to keep
your ship in such way that his nose looks enemies msot times and
not the opposite way. Yamato has 2x3 main guns in front and only
3 at the back that means if he keeps his nose against enemies is
more efficent than showing his back to the enemies. BBs that
have equal amount of guns in back and front don't have to think
about it. But some have guns only in front, some have less in
back.
2. How many gun blocks the ship has. 2 in front and 1 back means
that there are 3 blocks, i have forgotten the better term for
the Block. When shooting DDs it is wise not to shoot the whole
salvo but all gun blocks separately after 2-3 seconds. 4 blocks
is even better than 3 when hunting DDs. If a ship has only 2
blocks then one must be very cearful when to fire half blocks
because it takes long time to reload and the huntable DD may get
away.
3. We can make separate point that it is not wise to send the
whole salvo towards a DD.
4. Understanding of the main guns range. If the range is small
like for German secondaries-oriented BBs then BBs swim
immediately towards enemy DDs and that is usually the closest
cap. There they can use secondaries against DDs and main gun
range becomes usable. Long range gun ship is for example Yamato
and to utilize that feature one can wait when a CV gets spotted
and shoot it as a first target. If there are no CVs then to
target anything that moves slowly and more straight because long
range shootings are not wise to send towards agile ships.
5. Switching to AP is fine only if 75+ % of the DDs have been
killed. And AP is never wise if the MM has CVs because it is
wise to break enemys AA with HE. The AP is gambling in advanced
battle modes like Rankeds but in Randoms ships show broad side
often so there one may use AP more often and wi nthe gambling.
6. A separate point can be here that BBs and all other ships
should hold the fire and be patient. Most shoot at the first
opportunity but that fails very often and as we talked in the
other point then one should hold the fire until the first DD is
spotted and shoot that one.
7. For every ship type one should count how many enemies will
reply to him after he becomes visible. If a BB is alone agains a
cruiser and another BB then it is obvious that he dies because
enemies has 2 times more guns and HP.
We continue BB talk next and create a separate topic for other
vehicle types next.

Spcially with BBs it takes some practice to understand when it
is the best to press the button that restores some HP.
On the attached picture the BB has stil lfire for the next 5
seconds as you see. And also he has the HP Repair button
available and the picture shows he can restore around +25% of
his HP.
There areno enemy fire coming and therefore one should wait 5
seconds for the fire to end only and after that pres the HP
Repair button.
Playing slow ship types like CRs/BBs means that you understand
when to restore health and when to repair fires/modules. Other
ship types don't require that thing so much. If you call that
thing a Knowledge/Skill/Playerskil lthen fine, but is it really
something worth to be mentioned or a skill? In Youtube there are
famous videos were people make most primitive simple things an
art and give a lecture about it. Like how to fart etc. My
favourite is one were an american scout teaches how to make a
fire in forest. So, don't have an illusion that playing
primitive ship types require some sort of high skills and
actually the whole game is very primitive just like the
billiards in a pub. So, there are actually no skills in wows,
but be aware of when/how to use HP Repair button.
