A small 10k Gold prizepool contest for Sprint 4.
Be glad that the playerbase offers at least some gold and
contests from time to time, take part and entertain. No
requirements for Religion etc, just the resulting numbers
matter.
Rules and details:
1. Sprint 4, in Gold league.
2. Restricted ships are typical Clan Battles banned ones.
Banned: all ships with planes, like CVs and Hilderbrands, and
banned T10 Petro, T10 Smaland. Everything else allowed, this is
a standard Clan Battles rule, so we do it in our contest as
well. Use any other ships. For example Colombo, Marc,
Irresistable, Zao, etc.
3. Achieve Rank 1 using 80+% of 1 ship. Like 160 battles with
Yamato, and 40 battles with other choices. The rule is to use at
least 80% of times one specific ship, most gold players do it
anyway already. Stats page shows clearly what you used and hw
many times, in the Ranked section, under Sprint 4 Detail button.
Register to the contest and let an adminstrator verify your
data. The data under that Details button is your contest
entry/result. It must show there Rank 1 and 80+% times of 1
allowed ship usage.
4. Leaderboard sorting rules:
TeamsWR, PR, ship name, account name.
Example leaderboard:
1. WR75%, PR2500, Z52, bob1.
2. 55%, 2000, Yamato, bob2.
3. 54%, 2300, Zao, bob3.
4.
Every contestant share equally 50% of the prize pot. For
example if 3 contestants in total then each get 5000/3=1650
gold, if 5 contestants then each get 1k gold.
Top 3 share 50% of the pot by the formula 50-30-20. For example
Top 1 gets 2500 gold.
That's it. Small prizes, we talk about 2-3k gold per player
probably. If the prize is irrelevantly small then go ahead and
donate it to any other contestant, just say it.
We start tomorrow, gl.
We have offered much bigger prizes in previous contests, 50k
pots, but this time a smaller, the joy is not in prizes but in
participation and motivation.

Q1. I am in Silver league still, i won't have time to complete
both Silverz and Goldz during the contest sprint. Do you think
it is fair to allow only gold members to take part?
A1. Yes.
Q2. I don't take part in any of your contests even if the
prizepool is 200k gold. I think all of my community agrees with
me on this. Why you even try to announce any contests if we
ignore it anyway?
A2. If Wows community ignores 200k gold then such fact is very
illustrative and describes your community well. It is a
documented clear fact and other conclusions about your
community, can be used later in argumentations. Documenting such
truths about you and your community is enlightening, removes
illusions-delusions, eventualky lowers sufferings. It is like a
homeless rough sleeper on the street who refuces 200 dollars
makes the picture more clear for the society what the reality is
with that person. Without documenting that he refuces tons of
money the society would imagine wrong things. So, it is always
benefitial to document what Wows community really is. Sane
people all would say that a community that refuses from tons of
money is not sane. And no illusions anymore, a clear evidencial
documented proof. So, i think it is good to document zero
participanys, but also good to have few, both are benefitial
scenarious.
Q3. How much gold i get if there will be 2 participants in total
and i get Top 2?
A3. 2500g for participating, and 30% of 5k.
Q4. I don't play so much, no time to get R1, why you require
Rank1?
A4. A sprint lasts 7-10 days as i remember, and has ca 30 stars.
Getting 30 stars during that time does not require so many
battles. People play Randomz many hours every evening for
example, so a typical player has enough time. Let's say you win
60% of battles and lose 40%. So, does it require many battles to
obtain 30 stars/victories? 100 battles with 60 victories can
already very likely mean 30 stars aka R1. Example series: L, W,
W, ..., repeat 30 times to get 30 stars, 90 battles in total.
And 90-100 battles during 7-10 days is not so much time, like
1-2 hours per day? Majority play 1-2 hours, or more. Do you play
25 minutes per day only? In that case you can't complete 30
stars of course, but it is pointless to design a competition to
such rare players. For you there is a separate Competition
forum, make 3 battles and compete there, you get prizes there
too at the end of the year.

There are many efficent ships beside the banned ones for this
contest. Our recent debators use for example Z42, Vamp2. I use
DD Pampa. If Pampa became banned by my rules i would use
probably Shima. If you use typically Petro, then perhaps use
Stalin this time. Etc. I know one gold member uses heavily
Smaland, i don't know what to suggest to him, maybe Z52, maybe
Yueyang.
Tactics are up to you. I never go at the start to Easycal, never
ever, this is my 1 principle, tactics. Such principle ensures
that you control the battle result, you do the main difficult
oart, and don't trust amateurs to try and fail in it, causing
you a wasted battle. But it is also really boring in easy areas.
And i don't do any obsessive behaviours and don't believe in
Wows community religion, so for me there is no urge to go to
Easycaps or do anything by religious believes. So, i never
Easycap, i go 80% of times to the middle map, 20% to the
Difficult cap. I have gine to the Easycap like 1 time per 600
battles if all team members go thete instantly, otherwise not.
If possible i swim with soft cruisers to smoke them, i use 90%
of times wide spread torps. I never cap if the MM has radars,
generally never because MM almost always has. I go most times
intentionally under radar instantly to spot them and deplete
them. And that's it generally, if possible i do Kamikaze
torping, and other details. There is no magical skill listing in
the game, generally few things.
Top 1 winning feature is to radarkill DDs, second efficent
method is to hydrokill DDs, and somewhere in Top3-4 is my
torpedo killing feature, Top 5 secondaries kill, Top 6 is gun
killing, Top 7 is victory by cap points. So, choose your method,
i am obviously on Top 3 method and it is quite successful, but
not the most successful compared ti Top 1-2 methods.
In very general it does not matter which ships to choose, in
case one has higher playerskills. But in general there are
obviously more suitable ships. For example T10 CR Zao does not
have any features in the aboves Top 5 listing, it has features
which efficency can be rated as Top 7. Just imagine Petro and
Zao. Peyro's features result killing a DD in 70% of battles,
while Zao achieves it in 6% of battles. Si, which method/ship
gives more often victories, the Petro who instakills a DD in 70%
of times, or Zao who almost never does it?

So, do you comprehend what is meant by features top list, the
listing of most efficent winning methods? Let's releat that
Radarkilling is the Top 1 most efficent method. It is Top 1
because obvious reasons, it occures the most compared to torpedo
kills or cap points victory and other methods, it occures in
most battles, and it is very easy compared to less effective
methods. So, there is a general obvious ranking of methods, and
radarkilling is nowadays still Top 1. No matter if you like that
truth or not, no matter if you comprehend what is said about it
here now or not.
So, if you take experienced T10 Petro player and Z42 player and
thirdly Libertad player, which all 3 do very profesionally, then
the result is like the efficency methods Top listing says, no
matter anymore about the players, just their ships determine the
result. And the result is that Petro gets surely Top 1 results,
then z42, then Libertad as Top 3. You can illustrate that Petro
finishes the Gold league 30 stars with 40 battles in such case,
z42 with 50 battles and Liber with 60 battles. All 3 players at
Top skillful. There is no way to say that Petro player is more
skillful than the other 2 players. No, they all 3 have maximum
playerskills, but just their ship features have different
efficency. That illustrates the Meta or Most effective Methods.
Obviously Wows community calls in this example Petro as the most
skillful player. But he is not, just his ship like any other
radar ship is these days very efficent.
So, if you have confidence with radarkilling tactics, then that
would produce you Top 1 scire very likely in our contest.

Sprint 4 Rank 1 happened perfectly on the last minute, haven't
ever achieved so perfect timing during a sprint.
You can see i started the evening entertainment at 18:20, ended
22:29, looks 21 battles to get the needed last 5 stars.
I must say i focused this time, there was a light desire to
finish the league today.
At the last day of a sprint there were all kind of teams, but
generally all at good Gold level.

Notice that yhe last winning battle didn't award a golden scull
icon like usually.
Could be because i already got one at Sprint 2, so maybe it is
only 1 time per season awarded in 1 sprint only.
I see few Star Savings among Lost Battles, for example the last
lost battle was a Star Save for sure.
