Re: Rankedz Season 23, at 15-may to 10-jul, MM 6x6 at T8-T10

I bought 7500 gold to put 21 points captains into T8 DD Aki and
T9 DD Kita, and T10 premiums don't need any fees for captains so
my Bronze, Silver and Gold league ships are ready for tomorrow.
Those 2 TT DDs already had 14-15 points captains but i decided
to put 21 points ones into them, 1 took from Haru and the other
from Shima. And i bought 3 gamble loot boxes and got the new T8
DD Eskimo.
New ships as a rule appear often in Rankedz, so expect to see
that DD Eskimo tomorrow. In T8 there was so far only EU DD with
12 km torpedo range, all others have typically 8-10 km range in
T8. So, that Eskimo added something new to the T8, and those are
not soft inefficent EU torps, but decent ones. Still 4 torpedos,
like Aki and Cossack, but decent damage amount and fine speed
for T8 and a 1st 12 km decent torps in history in T8. In T8 the
radar range is not 12km so actually 10km range is optimal for
T8, and 12km can be phrased as a long range for that tier. Not
sure if 12km benefits more than 10km in Rankedz T8 but in
Randomz against 12 km radars it surely does. The ship has extra
slow gun reloads, 7 seconds or so, that makes it inefficent of
course. Those guns can outplay T8 Kagero and Asashio but fail
against other DDs i guess.
The concealment is good and has a smoke, so it can scout at
least and if 4 torps hit by luck anything it can contribute to
the victory slowly. In my opinion the ship is not good for
Rankedz but average for Randomz, and little bit unique because
long torpedo range in T8. I surely won't use it in Rankedz but
many will and that is an advantage to me.
Wows community has collectors mentality widespread so they won't
use the Eskimo more than 10-20 times, and they won't notice it
has the 1 month long +200% XP mission, but that mission is
excellent for an evening player to train 3 full british captains
which eventually have bigger value than the ship itself. Because
i will spend my time in Rankedz only then i will ignore that
200% mission as well.
Recent days i practiced T8-T9, usually i sit 2 months long in
T10, so i practiced to see which ships occure in T8 and got
familiar with the ships buttons, already i pressed frong buttons
few times yesterday, some ships you havent used may have under U
or Y buttons something else than you expect. So, it is
benefitial to warm up before the Day 1.
I am not sure about flags usage. In average of 30 flags of each
type. Maybe to not use in Bronze, but in Silverz only, and not
in Goldz, let's see.
The mood seems to be quite competitive, if it stays, then it
should go smoothly tomorrow evening.
For all contestants i suggest avoiding team splits, consider if
you risk offering a smoke to soft cruisers or not, they may
refuse it easily in Bronze/Randomz level. Consider fearless
Kamikaze torping, for sure you will do it at least 3 times per
40 battles.
Once you see the map list remember where are typical radar
locations.

The Day 1 has arrived and a new Season is here. Grab your 1k
gold in every sprint at Gold league, plus an additional 1k gold
from Bronze+Silvers during Sp1, talling 5k gold per 2 months and
30k gold per year. Add few free gold from daily loot boxes etc,
and you can buy a 30k gold ship at the end of the year, plus a
Steel ship, mainly from Rankedz gold.
But beside those rewards, you get a tough challenging skill
based experience, an adequate measure of your skills.
I have made my planned ship choices, but first few battles tell
the final decision which ships to use.
My main psyshological suggestion is to have an attitude that you
go to win instead of an attitude that you go to cap or go to do
a religious team split. General suggestion is to stay with a
bigger splitted group, and also prioritize tactical enemy ships.
More advanced suggestion is to know effective locations and use
those and hunt enemies in such locations, typically there are
few best radaring locations and go kill enemy radars there.
It all gets clear after few battles when you see the map list.
Surely read the MM at starts.

So, i know 1 map by now but not sure about other maps yet.
But that 1 map is an all familiar old map, nothing to learn
there. On that map the bigger A circle has a smaller B circle
inside and they together can be taken at the same time and
produce 2 times cap points compared to the rightmost single C
cap. So, the AB cap has a higher value, or say it has 66% of
importance while the C has 33% of impartance. And teams spawn
closer to the AB than to the C.
The AB cap has a leftmost longer route/door, and a fast straight
access if you swim straifgt forward from the spawn. These 2
routes have different risk levels, generally the shorter
straight in route is more risky like always longer routes are
safer but more time wasting. A typical MM has 2 DDs and the
community tends to believe in team splits so usualy you see 1 DD
escaping to the single C cap area and the other goes to the AB
from 2 access routes.
It depends which DDs the MM shows and if there are radar
cruisers or not. Some DDs may have a very high speed or very
strong capping tools like hydro plus short smoke and if
opponents don't have better ships then one team has a higher
chance to just swim into the AB from short route with more
advantageous suitable ships. So, it depends on MM, you make a
decision based on the MM ships and their advantages.
On this map i do 80% of times a Bait Smoke infront of the AB,
like i did in this 1 battle. You swim straight to the AB, slow
your speed for a second and start to turn back, the smoke almost
touches the A cap, and you make the AB cap visibility blind to
your team. At first glance it looks like an advantage to
enemies, and sometimes it may benefit them eventually but 80% of
times not, it most times benefit you. As a DD you will be able
to usually shoot safely enemies behind that AB smoke, enemies
become spotted most times there. Enemies waste their radars and
torps usually on that smoke and even naively think that someone
is going to sit inside that smoke or even cap. During setting
the Bait Smoke you send lottery torps into the AB and sometimes
they hit something. This time only an enemy BB became spotted
near AB and i safely farmed him little bit with a smoke, but we
lost the AB cap.
So, such Bait Smoke is very effective on that map, i have done
it hundreds of times, and it benefits well, it confuces enemies,
wastes their resources, give them Yolo mood, enables often safe
farming to you and cruisers behind the smoke wall.
I do that step most times, i avoid Easycaps, so i don't ever go
to the C cap.
But beside Bait Smoke on that map you can yolo into the AB as
well if your ship is fast and so. And you can try the long route
AB as well. The C cap is prohibited because it is titled as
Easycap and by my Religion i don't go to Easycaps. But you may
go, and specially consider going there if a bigger group goes
there.
Inside the AB caps are rocks close to enemies, you can swim
straight to there and be 4km from enemies but safe because of
the rock while capping. This is risky of course and better for
faster ships.
On this map BBs shpuld swim instantly to the AB if your DDs die.
Swimming in pushes enemy DDs out from AB and gives at least a
small chance to win, better surely than to escape to map edges.
So, for me this map is mainly Bait Smoke tactics and nothing
else. Clear many times practiced tactics. No doupts, no fear,
full confidence.

From the 1 example battle MM you see that Libertad line BBs are
popular, both teams have one. Cossack is very popular always.
The Experimental Metz appeared this time too but i am not so
sure if they will be popular anymore because everybody has
finished long time ago all Experimental Coal missions. In Bronze
you will see all kind of ships, just like in Randomz, but in
Silverz already there will be a more smaller set of efficent
ships.
You can see in the results screen that i got instantly R9 circle
after my first battle while few ships didn't get any circle. I
still am not sure why it occures, maybe if they didn't play in
previous Season at all, then the game does not display any
circle after 1 battle. Who knows.
You see the MM has weird BB choices like Yamato line T8 BB.
Well, that ship line is unsuitable for Rankedz in general, but
also in general it does not matter which ship you choose if
playerskills are over average. Specially on such small brawlish
map i don't see any use of Yamatos features. As a Yamato you
should most time swim to the AB from long route, but why not to
do it with Libertad line ship?
On this map you sometimes weird time wasting manuever that DDs
try to swim backwards like crabs to the AB cap and they beleieve
it is wise because it enables safe quick escape if capping
fails. That time waste is very stupid and fear minded. Better
swim straight into the AB and turn back slowly so you achieve
the same faster and even if you get spotted during that then
that is fine, being spotted doesn't mean you die and you would
have become spotted anyway even with the crab method. So, such
manuver is silly, in very rare situations it benefits.
In the results you see that 5 from 6 of our team all did over
1500 Base experience, that means almost all did personally a
great impact to the battle.
Difficult is when the MM shows T8 radars and Cossacks but not
anything undoable, i still do the Bait Smoke always.

Note that we do intellectual analises, talk tactics etc,
meanwhile other forums tal about such typical topic: Subs and
Carriers are killing this game for me.
There is a clear difference what Wows community talks and does,
and what non community does. For me and the entire world it
looks natural to do intellectual things, and not natural to do
what Wows community does.
How many will i need to complete the Bronze with T8 Aki? If a
competitive mood appears today evening, then it takes 1 evening
and 35-45 battles usually from me, if no mood then can take 100
battles and 3 days. How much battles a Diamond level Sprint 1 R1
certified player requires for Bronze? Around 20 battles and
usually it means 85% TeamsWR.But note that Diamond level players
pick obviously efficent ships. With a T8 BB Yamato line ship
they would need ca 30 battles instead of 20 to get BR1.

The alley T8 iPiranga player without any rank circle in front of
his name doesn't seem to have any Stats for today 15-may, his
last Rankedz Stats were in April. Not sure why the Stats page
does not show any Rankedz activity for him for 15-may but shows
for me. And not sure why he does not have any rank circle if he
played Rankedz like i did in previous Season.

The same thing for circless BB Branden player, no data for
todays battles and last played 1 month ago in April:

So, maybe if one has not played at all for ca 1 month then the
game does not display any rank circle in result list? Does not
sound logical. And beside the game and battle results, why the
separate Stats web site don't display any data for today for
such players still? Maybe if one has not played 1 month then the
game database somehow puts such accounts into an Archive state,
and then the battle results plus Stats web page don't get any
recent data for them today, but tomorrow it would start to show
again because it takes 1 day to move an account from Archived
stste to Active state? I think so.

A 4 of 6 kills battle example.
You see a ship T8 Cr Irian, that one is totally unsutable for
Rankedz, if you as a smoky DD see him then try your luck and
force him to accept your smoke, otherwise a lost battle.

Season 23 Day 1 in T8 was really enjoyable. I remember in older
Seasons i have completed the Bronze in 1 evening, but not in
recent seasons and not yesterday, so i landed on R5 only, but
that is all fine.
There were few totally Random Battles level players, that didn't
know much what to do and refused my smokes and chose unsutable
ships, but mostly strong players, i really liked the challenge.
I dis 1 bottle of wine during ca 30 battles, and the mood was
quite competitive. If it stays i finish the Bronze today evening
and the Silverz will be even better because it has filtered out
lot of bronz-ish chaos.
Old familiar maps. The T8 Aki feels good.
That new Ops like game mode is really boring, it is even easier
than classic Ops. So, what's the point there at all. It has
funny small ultra fast boats, those i like.

Eventually i decided to change T8 Dd aki to a premium
Cossack-like ship and that made easily to Rank 2:
