Pampa is surely the best torpedo DD nowadays. I really suggest
to buy it if you mainly played before Shima and similar torpedo
ships. Just 30 torps 3 times per battle are really effective.
Very often you shoot all 6 salvos widespread. Often few narrow
spreads followed by few widespeads. And such torpedo soup hits
often enemy DDs as well.
When Shima used to confront Kleber then often 15 torps failed
and Shima died, but with Pampa's 30 wide spread torps usually
Kleber dies from 4km range. Those 30 torps make the ship very
strong against even gunboat DDs.
Few suggestions only:
1. Make the proper ship setup. That means: make the ship speed
good, make torps 73km/h, put radio, increase thr torpedo
reloader from 2 to 3.
2. Don't have brainwashed narrow torp spread habit. Use
widespread a lot.
3. Don't have other brainwashed behaviours like obsessive
capping. That 30 tprps ship makes the impact with torps, not
with caps.
Rankeds Gold league is the best place to get playing skills.
You can complete Rankeds leagues with that ship very finely, i
think as quickly as with Shima. Shima has few other strengths,
but Pampas main feature is equal to those strengths.
A torpedo DD player should surely have Pampa, but also Shima.
Both are kings of torpedos.
For me was suprising that the community doesn't talk about
proper setup for that ship. And they believe it is expensive.
No, it is not expensive. Expensive is to have 10 bought premiums
that you almost never use. Expensive is to buy a ship that
doesn't have anything unique and effective. And slow and
sluggish is not what Pampa is, it is totally fine with fine
speed.
As a DD player i don't see any better torpedo DDs in the game
for recent years. Think yourself which DD is as good? Jager is
good because concealment and many torps, but those are weak
torps and not 30 in one megasalvo. There have not been as good
DD before, and the new announced soon coming ones are not
torpedo oriented at all.
The ship is better than premium account too. You don't need any
credit making issues with it in T10. Just as a torpedo player
have some varierity, like also a Shima, maybe few others, but
mainly play Pampa and that is all you need.
Sounds like an advertisement for torpedo players. But it is the
best torpedo boat. If you don't have a credit card then Shima is
very good as well.

Randoms compared to Rankeds can be such a mess. That results in
big wins or big losses, in Rankeds most battles have equal teams
and no mess usually. So in a way Randoms require some special
skills if to express so. Mainly you must stay in a bigger
groups, and when you spot a DD then don't expect your team to
prioritize shooting it, don't expect they have aiming skills,
don't expect any support, etc, more like indepentent PR oriented
playstyle. Also as a DD don't try to smoke any cruisers there,
they refuse the smoke and swim away. In Rankeds the playerbase
is much better, less mess.
All that said is a well known truth but sometimes you forget it,
so i repeat it here.
I managed to train the 2nd captain for Pampa to 18 points level,
now it has all 3 top level skills and the remaining 3 skills
will go to torpedo speed probably, to increase torps from 69km/h
to 73km/h. I don't think i go for a 3rd captain training as
well. But can happen. Pampa has so good captain training mission
for 1 month, maybe i will continue to do captains. But probably
not, 2 captains are enough already.
But again, i strongly suggest the Pampa purchase for torpedo
players, that 1 month grinding mission is a really good thing.
Usually it takes ages to grind captains and things. But Pampa
deal gives you boosters and the mission so you make many
captains if you want.
You shouldn't grind in Rankeds, because you need 21 skill
captain there to be competitive, but Brawls and Randoms are good
for grinding, specially T10 Brawls but those don't happen so
often.
I hapoened to watch yesterday a Youtube video from a Top
youtuber, and he read again Dev Blog news like fairytales, and
showed a random battle at the same time that demonstrated so
many mistakes. It showed he didn't support the DDs at all with
his Winsconsin BB, when enemy DD was duelling his team DD he
totally ignored it and continued shooting enemy BBs. That is a
zero support, zero teamwork, total ignorance, he didn't show the
battle result either, probably it was a loss, also many other
mistakes. I can maybe find his video later here and name all
mistakes.

You can say yourself the listing of mistakes in it.
1. He didn't shoot the spotted enemy CV. That is a common
priorities mistake. If you ignore shhoting CVs, DDs and probably
also radar cruisers, then your ignorant mentality is something
like: i go to a battle to shoot BBs, and scouts must spot them
for me, i don't care anything about other enemy targets like
DDs, CVs, i only shhot BBs. Such ignorance is in Randoms often,
he demonstrates it well.
If you see a spotted CV and your ship has a range to shoot it
then you should always prioritize shooting it. In Rankeds Golds
players understand it. In Randoms not.
2. He ate so many damage in, and hided it by putting containers
screen on. His AP bullets failed as well. He probably never uses
HE because he totally ignores target DDs.
3. He didn't use AA button at all, and not other buttons. All he
does is to press the AP button in battles and aims BBs.

Yesterday i added my Pampa Rankeds-3 challenge results to the
new forum. Next plan is to do Tromp and Alvaro 3 battles
challenges, and then probably i start 5 battles challenges.
You don't need to have 100% WR in all attemts, 66% is fine too,
and specially for 15 battles challenge, but the leaderboard is
sorted by WR so it is wise to have 100% at least for 3 battles
contests.
I think the idea is good and creative. Also now debaters can
easily do those challenges if they like the Skills argument so
much. But for me and others it is just a fun leaderboard.
Shima is the king against Subs because it has the biggest number
of water bombs and high speed, but Pampa has very few bombs,
often Subs can survive against Pamba. But Subs are harmless and
irrelevant, so that anti-sub ability is not important.
I looked few debaters accounts and very typical picture is that:
1. They have Hildebrands and other expensive premiums with
almost no battles. One had 2 battles with it. Yet they like to
repeat Wows community attitudes which say that don't buy Pampa
and don't buy anything. Why you yourself contradict yourself
then? Why you buy Hilders and don't even use them?
2. Obvious stats perverts have usually so few battles with their
ships. Typically 13 battles at 66% WR. Why you don't do 13000
battles and enjoy it? Why don't you complete Sprint 2 Golds with
it? Plenty of such examples where ships are used 13 times only,
including premium ships.

Looks like Rankeds Season 20 data appeared on the end of Sprint
2, not on the beginning.
I can demo the data reading here again.
As you see below on Sprint 1 i got Gold Rank 5 at the end, and
also it was my best rank number 5 on that Sprint.
On Sprint 2 i finished with Gold R6, but i touched the R5
temporarily as well.
On the Stats page you see i used 7 different DDs for that
Season, mainly Shima and then Pampa.
You can conclude that Sprint 1 R5 is a strong gold level player.
But R1 would be even better, but this time i didn't have a
contest mood, so i did not aim towards R1.
Beside rank numbers 5 and 6 you may see rank 24 for example
sometimes, that means a Bronze league rank. Bronze data and
Easysprints data is quite useless but still more meaningful than
Randoms data.
This is how you read Rankeds data.
