Ranked Battles Season 19, 5/09/2024-30/10/2024

Contest rules:
1. Play Bronze league until you get Bronze Rank 1 qualification
status. That status allows you take part of the contest.
2. Go to the Wows teams stats web page to make a screenshot of
your results, example link:

On the website find your account, click Ranked Battles, click
Progress, find columns of the days you played, click on link
Details under the columns to see the ships you used and the
amount of battles you made.
Make screenshots that show how many battles you made and which
ships you used and which days you played to get the Bronze Rank
1.
Post those screenshots to the contest page. For example your
screenshots may show that you got Bronze league Rank 1
qualification on day 1 and needed 50 battles and you used only 2
ships: T6 DD Japanese Hatsuharu 30 battles, T6 DD UK Icarus (20
battles), in total 50 battles.
The number 50 is used as your result, and other team stats like
win rate or damage amount don't matter, only the quantity of
battles matter.
If others get the result 51 or 301 then they lose to you because
you needed less battles to get Bronze R1.
2. After Bronze R1 qualification make a small pause in playing
for the sake of screenshots to have a gap between Bronze and
silver data.
For example don't play at least 4 hours Rankeds and then
continue to play. That cap is helpful later on screenshots for
the Silver league results.
After the pause play until you get Silver Rank 1 qualification
and post again screenshots and make a small pause and repeat for
the Gold league as well.
3. Only tech tree standard ships allowed.
For example T8 DD UK Lightning allowed but premium T8 UK DD
Cossack is not allowed. You provide as a proof a screenshot of
your used ships so you can't cheat on that point (so easily).
4. Premium captains allowed, signals allowed, mods allowed,
ultra fast internet allowed.
Any days and times are allowed. For example you can complete
Bronze immediately in the 1st day morning, and then take 2 weeks
break from playing and complete the silver and the Gold in the
evenings. Etc.
5. Competition categories: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Overall aka sum
of those 3. In minimum you must complete at least Bronze league.
All 3 leagues are a sub contest and their total is an Overall
league result. So there are 4 categories to compete, 4 places to
get prizes plus 1 prizepool for completing the Bronze. If you
manage to complete only the Bronze and fail to complete other
leagues then you take part in 1 category: Bronze, plus you get a
1/N % prize for jsut taking part of the contest..
If you complete the Gold you take also part in OverAll category.
Every contestant of the contest get a prize of 1/N % no matter
which results he gets.
After you post your Bronze data you are qualified to take part
of the contest and can post later your silver and Gold data.
You should post the Bronze data before you start the Silver
league.
Prizes:
1. In Overall category (those who complete Gold) a pot of 10'000
gold is divided by TOP 3 players by the formula: 50%, 30%, 20%.
For example, if there will be 3 contestants in total who managed
to compelte the Gold and 10 contestants in total in the contest
which means 7 didn't complete the Gold (but completed either
Bronze or silver) then TOP 3 Overall divide the prize pool.
2. In each 3 league categories a pot of 10'000 gold is divided
by TOP 3 players by the formula: 50%, 30%, 20%. For example
Bronze category winner (Bronze TOP 1 result) gets 5000 gold as a
50% of 10'000 gold pot.
3. No matter which results you get you as a minimum must
complete Bronze and all those contestants share proportionally a
pot of 10k gold. For example if you managed to complete the
Bronze but not Silver then you still get 1/N % of the 10k prize
pool, if you didn't managed to complete Bronze you don't get any
prizes.
The total pot of gold given as prizes is 10k+3x10k + 10k = 50k
gold.

Q1. What are premium captains and why premium ships not allowed?
Anything that is not bought by standard credits is titled as
Premium. For example captains that cost Coal are called Premium
Captains, only ships in the tech tree are not Premium.
Every contest in the world have restrictive rules, for example
in sport there are many rules. Centuries it has been always an
honor to compete with as restrictive rules as possible, it
betters the visibility of real skills.
Q2. Can you explain which prizes i can get if i complete the
Bronze as TOP 4 and Silver as TOP 2 but can't complete Gold
league?
In that case you get the prize of 10k gold pot as a 1/N % of all
contestants of the competition, plus 30% of the 10k gold as 3k
gold for the Silver league TOP 2 result.
Q3. I am a nazi and want all families to get cancer and burn in
hell. also i prefer white skin color and beleive that german
language is supreme and teams stats show the amount of
knowledge. Can i still take part of the contest?
Everybody who is capable of posting their result screenshots to
the contest topic can take part of the contest. If you get an
"isolated member" status then you can't post your results and
hence can't take part of the contest, you can only post opinions
in the Isolation topic then. A suggestion is that don't post
your sadistic viewpoints during the contest and after that post
them and become an isolated member who can't take part of
contests.
Q4. I prefer to use premium ships because i believe in team
stats and don't want to lower those stats with honest tech tree
ships, i am proud of bragging of my dishonest team stats and i
call those even my personal stats. Can i still take part of the
contest with advantegous premium ships?
No.
Every competition in the world has rules and try to remove any
advantage giving possibilities. A poor creditcardless children
have less advantages without premiums against such premium
advantageous rich players and it is not fair to compete against
them and say that it is their mistake that they don't have
money. Play in Randoms with advantages against children and brag
about the results later but in Rankeds competition we don't do
that, jsut like in sports you have rules like not using
enhancing drugs and betetr equipment. It is ridiculous to brag
that you have better team stats aka more money against poor
children.
Q5. If i get TOP 2 in Bronze, TOP 3 in Silver, TOP 1 in Gold
then which prizes i get, my Overall results (Bronze+Silver+Gold)
is TOP 2, let's say there will be 10 players in total who took
part of the competition?
You get: 10 % from 10k gold aka 1k gold for completing the
Bronze.
30% of 10k gold aka 3.3k gold for getting TOP 2 Bronze.
20% for TOP 3 Silver aka 2k gold, 50% for TOP 1 Gold aka 5k
gold.
30% for TOP 2 OverAll aka 3.3k gold.
In total you get: 1k+3.3k+2k+5k+3.3k=14.6k gold.
Q6. I got only Bronze Rank 2 as my best and couldn't complete
the Bronze. Which prizes can i still get?
None. You must at least complete Bronze.
Q7. Can we also prohibit the use of signals and expensive mouses
and post replays?
If you provide a practical way how to check their usage then we
can consider it.
But there are no reasonable methods to check signal usages so we
skip that part bu you can for yourself follow such personal
rule, i most times follow it, i have a broken keyboard and i
sell all signal and don't use them.
If everyone votes that 3 replays of 3 league R1 getting battles
should be posted then we can make such rule, it is up to
contestants if they want such replay posting rule.
Right now initially we don't have such rule, but feel free to
suggest that or any other additional rules.
Q8. May i do team splits and sue primitive ship types?
Yes, use whichever play style you like. It is also impossible to
check which playstyle everyone used during ca 50 battles of
Bronze completition. And it doesn't matter which playstyle you
use, use what you like, be a torpedo or radar or planes ship
style, passive or agressive, torlling or not trolling, team
splits or no splits doesn't matter.
I personally try to avoid team splits, but it is impossible with
most teams, so it is not possible to even make a 100% non
teamsplit, there will still be splits like 3+3, 4+2, 5+1, 6+0.
Any tech tree ship and any playstyle is fine, partially a ship
choice and playstyle choice is a partial part of your
skill/wisdom because that influences the result, so try to chose
effective ones if your goal is to get to TOP, but your goal can
be also to enhoy the play with nonefficent methods and ships,
for example play russian DDs very agressively and that gives you
70% of times a loss probably but you eventually still complete
Bronze and Silver and take part of some prizes and you enjoy
such extreme inefficent playstyle, obviously you won't manage to
complete Gold with very inefficent methods.
Q9. I don't think anyone will take part of your forum and
contests ever, why you make such contest then?
There should be opportunities at least. For example a very
expensive shop on your home street is still an opportunity which
may sometimes be useful for some people, also it promotes
economy and other shop competitors in the country, that's why it
is always good to have choices, opportunities, offers, compared
to having a silence and no opportunities. If nobody likes that
Rankeds competition then that is totally fine, it still gives a
positive impact to the commnuity, more competitions may get an
idea of that, etc etc. Therefore it is already good to announce
competitions, a good impact, no matter if there would be any
participants.
Predictions about the future are not wise, for example plenty of
times players predict in battles this and that and at the end
the prediction becomes false- so what is the point to predict at
all?
Also, does it look that announcing such competition makes me
lose anything? No, it is jsut a small amount of time to post it
to the forum.
Q10. I have only 1 ship at T4 and no other ships. I think it is
unfair that people like me who don't have enough ships yet
cannot take part.
I agree with you but there is no other way to provide a
competition for such few players. You need a game mode that has
a ranking/filtering system and currently only Rankeds and Clans
provide it with requiring more than Tier 4 ship. It is not so
time consuming to grind from T4 to T6 and take part of the
competition Bronze league.
In Devstrike forum there is 1 competition for playing in Randoms
and Coop with any tier ships, go and play there with T4.
Randoms game mode does not provide any ranking/hierarchy system,
and is unsuitable because too big teams and chaotic/mess. In
sports you have leagues as well for the same reason we do a
competition in a league based game mode. It is obvious that
those who can't get into Wows Gold league or in sports into top
leagues are weaker players, and that can clearly show who have
more skills. It is a naive belief that everyone can get into the
Gold league by luck or by plenty of battles. All reasoning
debunks such belief plus plenty of examples and my personal
experience as well, so there is no base to continue a naive
debunked beleif about Rankeds, go demo that yourself if you have
such belief. All the arguments support the Rankeds game mode
over other modes, that's why we use it and it is the best
available to measure skills. There is no need to feed anyone's
sick ego to be the best in anything, we have a healthy warm
competition were all are welcomed but even that Rankeds
competition can't measure all skill types, for example some may
have very strong torping skills but in Rankeds such skill is not
so effective so the TOP 1 overall winner is good and only
generally have highest skill level, a torping skill of the TOP 7
player may be obviously stronger than the TOP 1 has. But we
still get some general skill level comparison, and there is no
other better ways to compare general overall skills than in
Rankeds. The goal is to enjoy Rankeds and compete little bit, we
can say that the winner is generally skillful, but it is not a
goal to say it, the goal is to enjoy and do friendly
competition. Surely we don't say that the winner's opinions
about life and the game become the truth, no, he may lose all
debates in opinions still.
Q11. Can we prohibit using Cvs and subs?
No.
Those respectful advanced ship types are in the game and allowed
by Rankeds and will occur in your teams anyway.
If you personally don't liek to use them then don't use.
In my personal opinion subs are harmless and not enough
efficient, but Cvs are too difficult for me to play, they
require too much practicing and skills compared to other ships.
In my ship choice there are only 2 DDs in the T6, 1 DD i nthe
T8, and 2 DDs in the T10, so i can't use CVs and Subs anyway but
who can then use them of course.
We have published many playstyles/tactics for CV MMs and other
tactics, we have never complained about those ship types and
always landed to the Gold league. So, there is now argument to
restrict any ship choices.
We can talk about special rules, for example we may agree to
give a special prizepool for cruiser players, or make the whoel
competition with only cruisers allowed, that is debatable, go
and suggest, on next competition or even in this one we can
consider doing such things if many suggest it.

My results of the Bronze category:
T6 UK DD Icarus: 5 battles.
T6 Dd Jap Hatsuharu: 33 battles.
In total 5+33=38 battles to get Bronze Rank 1 qualification
status.
Now i take today and tomorrow off from playing because Silver
league is anyway almost empty so you can't get a battle there
few days, and that is what the contest rules suggest.
I share my opinions about the ca 8h playing for that Bronze
challenge in the other contest chat topic later.
But this is a demo for you all how i suggest to do competitions,
you post basically mainly a picture which has numbers 5+33.
Nothing else needed. and then your number 38 competes i nthe Top
ranking, if others get 39 or 3999, then they lose to you, if
they get 15 or 38 then they place at a higher Top level. That's
how it is.

I jsut update an irrelevant milestone of completing BR1
qualification and getting Silver level 10.
It was really enjoyable because the 6/09/2024 as a 2nd day of
the Season had really skillful Silver-level playerbase.
As you see i spent 1+5 battles with Lightning and Kitakaze in
the beginning, which didn't feel very successful and i switched
to my last ship choice T9 Yugumu to do 6+13 battles and that was
more effective. I didn't use smoke, only torpedo reloader and 12
km torps.
In total it took therefore 1+5+6+13=25 battles to just complete
that Bronze R1. Plenty lot of battles, but all very enjoyable
and difficult, a real enjoyment.
I beleive the next such strong playerbase appears on the Season
day 5-6 when you see first gold members. But probably i won't
get to that gold so soon, because i am not so skillful.
The number 25 just is part of my Silver league completition, the
number grows probably to 200 for me. That numver 200 will be my
next contest entry for the silver league. That's how it works.
In the other contest chat topic i share few opinions about the
Silver level later. Obviously crawling/italian smoke is an
effective popular premium feature there, and radars, good is
that some maps are those Buff collecting maps, those i really
like.
Also see from the pictures that i played at times 18:35-23:59
which makes about 5h30min of playing those 25 battles to jsut
get S10 rank. Many of you may not have so much free hours, so
you can do only few battles every day but ensure you make
screenshots somehow of those many days to get the numbers.
Note that when you get the Save The Star it counts as a lost
battle, i wasn't aware of that.
Let's imagine a league requires to get 2 stars to complete, you
do 4 battles like: 1st battle as a battle loss, then a victory
and gaining a star, then a battle loss with saving a star, then
a victory, those 4 battles give you 2 stars and a team win rate
of 2/4 or 50%. In my opinion that number 50% doesn't tell much
about your performance but the number 4 tells clearly that you
needed 4 battles to get 2 stars. That misleading number 50% can
occur in various ways, like loss/loss/win/loss/win/win, much
better is to say you needed correspondingly 6 battles. So the
50% via 4 battles or 50% via 6 battles are different performance
and obviously the 4 battles version of 50% is better than the 6
battles version of rate 50%. That's why those win rate
percentages are misleading, and saving a star makes them even
more confusing. Much clearer is to say that one who requires 4
battles in total outperform those who need 6 battles in total.
In my opinion it is better to count battles and avoid the win
rate number and avoid the title like unicum there. But if it
feels for you more clear then use the percentage number. I am
not sure which number is better, in my opinion battle quantity
is the best number to use, it is the best choice already because
ideological reasons, because the TeamsWR phrase installs into
religious players even more deeper into their mind the belief in
their win rate procentage. Better to avoid that "win rate"
phrase totally, and use clean numbers like battle quantity, that
is my opinion.

Data, SR1 replay and screenshots.
It is difficult to colelct the data now because the silver
league competition occurs so many days.
1. Screenshots/data show that on 04/09/2024 18:13 was first my
Rankeds Bronze battles started.
2. On 05/09/2024 18:35 was achieved Bronze R1 with 38 battles.
3. On 14/09/2024 11:42 was achieved Silver R1 with such battle
counts:
14/09/2024 - 12 battles (Silver R1)
13/09/2024 - 21 battles
12/09/2024 - 19 battles
11/09/2024 - 22 battles
10/09/2024 - 19 battles
9/09/2024 - 24 battles
8/09/2024 - 37 battles
7/09/2024 - 52 battles
6/09/2024 - 12 battles
5/09/2024 - 38 battles (Bronze R1)
Bronze league battle quantity = 38 battles.
Silver league battle quantity = 12+52+37+24+19+22+19+21+12=218.
Cumulative Silver R1 = 38+218=256 battles.
I played Sprint 1 for 10 days and in total of 256 battles to get
Silver R1 qualification, from which Bronze R1 was achieved with
38 days.
The TOP listing gets my 2 numbers: BR1=38, SR1=256.
Ships used: mainly Yugumo, few Kitakaze. No flags, no mods, no
premium ships. Yugo with 19 skills standard captain, Kita with
21 skills standard captain.

i post meanwhile an irrelevant milestone in getting SR1
qualification done.
Now i try to get as high Golden rank as possible during next 2-3
days and i won't be able to complete the Gold league because i
am not so good to complete it with few days of sprint 1.
I compete still for the highest Golden rank, maybe i will get
GR5, and then the competition is over.
I want to use my T11 Dd Yamagiri but it is impossible to get
battles for that ships choice, so i must continue with T10
honest choices.

The competition is nearly over. The best in the Bronze and
Silver league was the contestant Encyclopedia2.
The contestant received in maximum Godl Rank 9 during the Sprint
1. Maybe it will improve during the next days, let's see.
This contest is a good example how to compete, how to compare
skills. Your skills and knowledge are not illusional
RandomsTeamsWR procentages, but Ranked sprint 1 results against
the most difficult opponents and using honest ships without any
flags- those are your knowledge, skills and everything, admit
that fact.
If you want to say that the TOP 1 player (Me) Encycolpedia2 does
not have knowledge or skills or playes worse than you, then
first provide your data that shows better results. Or open any
battle results in children's Randoms and see how many gold
members do you see during Sprint 1? If your data even show
better numbers, for example you completed Bronze with 30 battles
and Silver with 100 battles, then show that you used standard
tech tree ships without any flags or mods or etc enhancements.
If you can't show that, then ask, why you still have an illusion
that you somehow are better than me? Why the debunked Wows
commnuity have such illusion for years?
Good luck providing your results still few last days. Obviously
there are better players who can complete even the Gold league
during the Sprint 1, less than 1%, yes they are better than me
but they must show their data first and agree to take 50k gold
from me, are they you? Accept your worse results and take the
gold and admit you are weaker than me in knowledge and things no
matter what you Teams data show. Isn't all that said so obvious
and clear and simple?

1. Only tech tree ships, Inc T11 ships allowed. Signals allowed
but not suggested. Premium captains allowed, mods allowed,
legendary mods allowed.
2. Only Sprint 1 data.
3. Post the screenshot that prove your quantity of battles to
get: Sprint 1 Bronze R1 qualification aka BR1, for example 40
battles, the screenshot shows you did 40 battles with Harugumo.
That is usually a 1 day data screenshot, not many days data.
Post screenshot for Silver R1, that is usually many days data,
Silver R1 battle quantity includes Bronze R1 quantity.
Post your highest Gold league rank that you got during Sprint 1,
for example GR5 or if you completed the Gold then Post GR1.
3. Prizepools:
10k shared via 50%-30%-20% among Bronze Rank1 Top 3 players
based on the battle quantity.
10k shared similarily among Silver R1.
10k shared similarily between Gold league players based on ranks
not by battle quantity.
10k shared equally at 1/n amount between all who gets at least
BR1.
That should be in total 40k Gold and Silver R1 data screenshots
are most messy, other league screenshot are simple. If 2 players
get GR1, then we compare who got earlier and who made less
battles.
Looks almost like we made the initial rules but the difference
is that we skip the messy Gold league days data counting. After
you post data then a referee checks it and confirms.
Example results:
Bronze League:
1. Mr Q, Br1=20 battles, 15:00.
2. Mr W, Br1=20 battles, 16:00.
3. Mr E, Br1=30, 14:00.
4. Mr F, Br1=40.
5. Mr R, Br1=41.
Silver Top:
1. Mr W, Sr1=70.
2. Mr F, Sr1=300, 16:00
3. Mr R, Sr1=300, 17:00.
Gold:
1. Mr W, GR1.
2. Mr R, Gr5.
Prizes:
All 5 contestants get 10k/5=2000 gold.
Bronze Top 1 gets 5000 gold, Top 2 gets 3k gold, top 3 gets 2k,
top 4-5 don't get.
Silver and gold leagues similarily.

Good luck in November Sprint 1 contest. Obviously 25k is not
much but you can still buy few premium ships if you like or sell
your account or buy premium days etc. That contest shows next 16
years your skill levels while RandomTeamsWR doesn't show.
I am almost always Sprint 1 golden member but not Diamond
member, that is my skill and knowledge. My skills and knowledge
has nothing to do with Random battles and data in Randoms, also
it has nothing to do with Sprint 2 data, and it has nothing to
do with premium ships and flags. Knowledge and skills are not
in Randoms, not in premium ships, not in win rates, it is in
Sprint 1 tech tree ships without flags where your skills and
knowledge show up against strongest premium players.
Skills and knowledge are measured in short time period, mostly
in exam format with difficult tests, there is no need to demo
long years later stable high performance and such stability has
nothing to do with skills and knowledge.
If you got Sprint 1 Br1 honestly like me but with less battles
then you have more skills than me, if you didn't do it honestly
then nobody knows your skill level and you can't say if you are
better or worse in skills compared to me or others, your teamsWR
has nothing to do with any skills.
I can offer 40-50k gold in every Season, after every 2 months.
Ask yourself why you don't like to take that gold? If you answer
that you like to play with premiums and other overpowered
advantages, then what answer is that? How can advantages ever
enable to use any skills. It is not you who competes then but
your advantages do competition then. Like sitting on top of the
world strongest horse breeds wearing strongest steel armor and
duelling a poor farmer on a donkey who has a wooden spear and no
shield- what competes there are measures skill, the rich Knight
on the hore, or his equipment? Obviously hip premium equipment
does the job, not him, the same with Wows premium ships.
