For the Silver level I have T8 Lightning and T9 Kitakaze, but I
also have ca 26m credits which I could use to buy a 3rd choice.
I thought maybe to buy a German hydro DD, what do you think? I
am not sure which german captains I have for that and I am not
sure how good it would suit for Rankeds. Maybe it is not a good
choice. I could buy also a T8 Japanese Dd but again I am not
sure, I already have T9 versions so the T8 only help little bit
to do Save The Star things.
So, I am not sure if to buy anything at all. I just use T9 Kita
and little bit T8 UK Dd.
And after completing the Silver I should have enough credits to
buy T11 Japanese Dd instead. I think that T11 Dd is my favourite
ship in the game, but I understand that it is not so fair to
play with T11 ships, they are a kind of premiums. But Yamagiri
and also T10 Shima with 20km tops is very powerful of course.
You stay safe because you have the best concealment, you chose
topping routes so that there wouldn't be any rock obstacles,
just free swimming 20km water area, and you send such tops many
times out, and you get many hits. A very powerful ship. Shima is
the same, but T11 version also has the fast 3 salvo bullet
button, that button makes it also a fine Dd duel ship. So maybe
I save the credits and buy later the T11 halfpremium Yamagiri.
What would you do?

The silver league with T9 ships make T8 UK DD standard Lightning
with 8km slow torps very difficult, because 12km radars occur
very often and they spot you very often and you just can't even
reach them with 8km torps. Premium t8 DD Cossack with 10km
torps. Cossack has better guns and better torps and other things
as a premium ships have, if you have the Cossack then maybe it
is a suitable effective choice for you, but obviously not fair
because a premium.
Very effective are thise italian smoke cruisers, you just must
predict where they are and torp ahead of their smoke and
sometimes such lottery torps kill well.
When you torp BBs you must see where are the closest alleys that
those enemy BBs face and then torp by assuming they turn their
nose towards your alley ships. So before torping the enemy
primitive ship you look where the alleys locate that the enemy
ship faces and then assume he turns towards them, so the torps
must be done so and ignore the current suggestable torp aiming
sector.
And when there are no close opposing alley ships where the
target enemy could turn then you guess jsut by seeing the rhythm
how the target makes the sname movement, before it starts to
turn left you end torps out assuming he goes left and then turn
back to right.
Also obviously for hydro ships you always torp by assuming they
start to turn when they see the torps.
Obviously you try to do the Universal Torping, to hit more
potential target. Understand when wide range torps are more
efficent- that is difficult for the commnuity because they have
blind strong dogmatic believes and jsut always and always ignore
wide torps and fail with them.
Also understand that your team benefits already a lot if you hit
with just 1 torp. So, there is no need to try a rare luck on
Devastating Strikes, in Silver league you won't get such things,
in Randoms you can of course.
Such typical torping hints. Note that sll those ca 10 torping
hints i mentioned are called a Knowledge, or Skills. Those are
what a player knows, if you haven't wrote anywhere such things
then you don't have knowledge. Knowledge is not a silence and
admirering imaginary personal stats, knowledge is a numbered
written lsit of tactics.
I beleive i continue with T9 Yugo with 12km torps and no smoke.
This is a scouting playstyle, you almost never use guns at all.
Yugo-line has the weakest guns anyway, it is very pointless to
use them at all. but it is an honest fair ship, i strongly
suggest it if you want to play fairly and know you fair skill
level.
If you want to cheat, then i suggest obviously radar+smoke OP DD
Black and italian smoke ships. If you want an honest tech tree
primitive ship, then perhaps have hydro, short gun range, no
torps or very short torp range, i am not sure which one has such
characteristics. Many seems to have too long gun range captains,
that is totally not needed on Rankeds small maps, either change
the captain skill setup, or chose a naturally shorter range
primitive ship.
As you see we do normal reasoning about ship choices, tactics,
etc. That is how you get your skills and knowledge, you don't
get smarter by being silent and admire your imaginary TeamsWR.
Humans talk and do reasoning, that is how they develop. find a
forum where you can talk. In the Devstrike forum they talk about
hatred and who they saw today in battles and what came out from
loot boxes- such socializing is not needed, you should do talks
about tactics, ship choices, analize battles and MMs via a
dialogue i na forum, like we do here.

Yesterday at the 5-6th day of the Season was a clear feeling
that Silver league skill level has dropped to normal. It is
first 3-4 days of the Season when the skill level is high, after
that it becomes easier.
What to learn from that fact/knowledge? Well, first is to notice
that fact at all. Have you noticed that or anything else in the
game at all during your playing years? Secondly, after having
the mentioned knowledge, you can act 2 ways based on your goals.
I obviously suggest to have as difficult/challenging playing as
possible. That's why we have the Bronze Challenge for years
which empathise specially the Seasons 1st day. Secondly you can
of course avoid such difficulties for few weeks if your goal is
to easily walk through the leagues. Depending on your goals, you
act 2 ways based on the mentioned knowledge.

Bronze subchallenge on 1st Season day is perfect because you can
easily take the 2nd playing day off from playing to have clearer
look of the data later and on the 2nd day there isn't easy to
get a battle anyway, plus you will have plenty of next days
until the end of the Sprint to complete the R1 qualification
stars. But the Silver subchallenge is not so comfortable
compared to Bronze. If you get Silver R1 during few days then
you may have only a 1 day left of the sprint 1, or no days at
all, and taking a day off at SR1 for the data visibility is
therefore risky, may happen you won't have time to complete the
Sr1 qualification and then you are put back to the Sr10 and must
redo all the work. That's why Silver SubChallenge is not so good
idea. But doable.
One another idea is to require that Silver league should be
completed in Sprint 1 and the Gold at latest at Sprint 2. That
would be a quite demanding requirement because not many have so
much time during the first 2 sprints, but such requirement
obviously increases the contest skill requirements, because not
many can complete Silver during the 1st Sprint, it requires not
only free time but also a more skillful playerbase. So I don't
think such idea is wise.

Re: Contests chat

Some reasons people don't take part from the contest:
1. Stats religion promotes using premium ships and other things
to make higher team stats getting easier. So they prefer Randoms
over Rankeds, premium ships over honest ships, use of signals,
and definitely don't like the contest Sprint 1 skillful player
bases. All that makes the honest contest lower their religious
stats, and therefore they don't take part of the contest.
2. It is childish attitude that suggests to avoid different
thinkers aka nonfriends. I as the contest sponsor obviously am
not a friend because I have long years debunked every opinion
that the Wows community has and proved plenty of ways and times
cult's mental issues etc. A mental child then ignores any
contest and gold and forums what the contest organiser offers.
3. Beside cult's Stats obsession and negative attune to
disbeliever there is in the world nowadays just dislike to Web
forums. People even choose to stay without knowledge, gold, etc
but they won't join any forums. The cult has a popular slogan
"learn to play" but they themselves don't have listed any
knowledge anywhere and cannot point where the knowledge can be
obtained, from books or Discord or forums or where from? They
cannot show any knowledge place, because there really isn't
anywhere, certainly not in Twitch and YouTube.
I think those are 3 main reasons people don't take part from the
50k gold contest.
Some minor other reasons can be advertising, not many know about
that contest. The forum is on Google Page 1, easily findable,
but also the Devstrike forum is and not many people there
either.
One minor reason is that people are too lazy to make screenshot.
In my opinion the nonpremoum ship restriction shouldn't be an
issue, because if you believe that you have skills then you
should be capable to demonstrate the skills with honest
nonpremiums as well. For example, I play with Japanese honest
DDs, and why you can't do that, play with any tech tree honest
ships? If you think you play better than.me then you should
easily get much better results with even most challenging tech
tree ships.
And you could get 10k+ gold from the contest that enables you to
buy premiums later. Therefore it is nonsense if people say they
don't like the contest rule about disallowing premiums.
Also note that before defining the contest rules I even offered
to 1 your community high teams rating idol that let's do then
that premiums are allowed, but even that dialogue didn't evolve
anywhere. So, it is not only because of the contest rules but
because of all mentioned 3 reasons above. Plus there might be a
reason that people are afraid that their results lose to mine
and that would hurt their ego.
For years the community wished to prove that they have more
skills than me and when you offer them dollars in debates and a
contest with prizes then they run away and are scared.

It is difficult to organise the Gold league competition. Because
wise is to start Gold league on Sprint day number 2 to have many
days to complete it, and therefore wise is to stop playing
Rankeds at Gr10 when you have only few days of the sprint left.
For everyday players such pause is not good. That's why Bronze
challenge is good and short and no issues to count results.
Maybe we can organise so that we count only the data of the
current Sprint for Gold. Let's say you get at Sprint 1 GR5 Rank
and spent 100 battles in Gold and then you get resetted to GR10
in the beginning of Sprint 2 and complete the Gold league with
500 battles. Should we count then 600 as the final result and
ignore the 100 or not?
Maybe to make rules so that only Sprint 1 data competes in the
contest and if you get Gr5 then that is your result and next
data is ignored? That rule requires everyday playing which many
may not have. But collecting only Sprint 1 data is clear and
simple.
Also, maybe to count cumulative data like Silver result equals
the sum of Bronze plus Silver battles.
Personally I suggest to count only Sprint 1 data and the contest
ends with Sprint 1. Let's say 1 contestant ends Sprint 1 with
Gr5 and the other with Gr4 and the third with Sr5, then all 3
compete for the Bronze prize, maybe the Sr5 person wins it if he
made lowest battle quantity in Bronze and he just took many days
off and couldn't land to Gold league. Such Sr5 player doesn't
compete for the Silver prize, but the 2 gold players will and
compare who completed the Silver faster. Nobody of the 3
competes for the Gold prize pool because none of them completed
it during Sprint 1. And the 2 Gold competitors Silver result is
the sum of Bronze plus Silver battles. I would call such
competition with a title Sprint 1 Rush etc because you really
must play everyday to get Gold completed during Sprint 1. We can
maybe make an additional prize pool for those who got the
highest Gold league rank during Sprint 1 rush. In that case Gr4
player will be top 1 and Gr5 player as Top 2. And if anyone
completes Gold league during Sprint 1 then he competes for Gold
prizepool as well with his GR1 rank. Sounds logical to me to do
so.
I will demo all the data next days and will reanalyse the rules.
Definitely a good idea is to count only Sprint 1 data. Otherwise
counting 2 months data of all sprints is difficult.
Any comments, suggestions?

Getting Silver R1 increased the budget to 1700 gold and 41m
credits.
To buy out T1 Yamagiri i need still about +15m credits.
In T10 Golden league Rankeds i can now move some captains for
500 gold and start earining the credits.
The silver league was really challenging on sprint first days,
but after day 5 the playerbase skill level dropped
significantly, imagine that in Randoms the skillbase is even
lower than in Silvers on day 5.
I am not sure which honest ships i will use in Gold, it is only
4 days left of the Sprint 1, so i can't obviously compelte the
Gold, but i at least try to get as high rank as possible during
sprint 1 and that rank competes in the competition scoreboard,
and then on sprint 2 i get resetted to GR10 and can complete the
Gold.
But as we agreed above the competition last only during sprint
1. So, you all have 4 days left to compete and share the 50k
gold prizepool.

Budget change during the Bronze challenge.
From 500 gold to the 1100 gold, that means i can move 2 times
captains now.
That is why it rewards to play Rankeds compared to Randoms, you
get Gold, Steel etc. Why to play Randoms at all?
and if there is even a contest like here for Rankeds where ca
50k gold is given out, then what's the point to play Randoms at
all?
Is there any tactics etc you use in Randoms at all? No, there
isn't. So, if you are not a total beginner and not grinding
ships, then why you play that Randoms at all?
Me and other debators i have seen here they totally ignore
Randoms, they play mostly Rankeds, and after 6pm few Clanss.

I have only Shima and Haru as honest ship choices in T10.
I test both ships, i am not sure which will i favor more and
which torpedo range i chose.
I try to rush during sprint 1 last 4 days to see which is the
highest Golden rank i can get.
both captains have the mandatory Concealment and Radio skills
but Shima has also Dispersion skills because it makes more
agressive risky closer to enemies scouting than Haru.
I agree that Shimas legendary mod plus premium captain is not
fair to use, but it is not as unfair compared to use premium
ships with signals.
Also that Shimas legendary mod makes torpedo tubes movement much
slower which is a disadvantage to standard mods, so it is quite
fair legendary mod in my opinion, gives little bit faster
torpedo reload but also makes worse torpedo aiming. You must
prepare torpedo aiming al lthe battle time to potentional
direction, otherwise you can't torp at all with so slow torpedo
tubes turning time.
Moving a captain to Shima did cost free experience for me, but
Haru's captain 500 gold. Thanks to playing Rankeds i had such
Gold.
I have good competitive premium ship choices in Tier 10 as you
see beside 2 standard honest ships. But their are not fair to
use, and i am not good in CV playing, it requires too much to
practice because their are most complicated ships, but my
premium Cv is obviously the best among all CVs. Also i have few
OP premium T10 cruisers, like Napoli etc. But i don't like to
play primitive ship types. Anyway, i don't use premiums, i use 2
standard DDs to record my honest skill-level, that is what the
contest requires. The contest lasts for 4 days, maybe on sprint
2 i can try premiums in Gold league, i am not sure, i think not,
because i want to complete the gold with honest ships.
I use such setup:
1. Shima with premium captain at 20 skills plus a legendary
torpedo speed reload module, i try 8km and 12km torps to see
which suits betetr, smoke only available for T10 and no torpedo
reload available compared to T9:
HTML https://imgur.com/Vf364PG
HTML https://imgur.com/9RQgq11
2. Haru, standard 21-skills captain, no legendary mods, again i
test 8km and 12km torps to chose during battles:
HTML https://imgur.com/XxjuTCg
HTML https://imgur.com/uh1uRwe
Gold league has mainly OP premiums, and majority seems to have
SR1 rank still, not many with Gold 3 for example:
HTML https://imgur.com/iW6Wlch
That means there is not many those sprint 1 Gold members yet and
the playerbase is difficult with most ksillful players, that is
very good news.
You can see fro mthe stats page where you start your gold league
by looking where is your first T10 ship battle, example:

Obviously radar ships are popular and specially new recent
premium radar ships. But standard radar cruisers like Mini and
Petro are effective to. Just remember that you don't escape to
easycaps with radar ships because the point of radars is to win
a game by radaring in the main difficult cap area enemy Dds and
kill 1 such Dd and the battle is usually over by such 1 kill.
That is the point of radars. The point is not to cap anything,
specially not the easy cap, but to kill by radar and win, that
is the goal. The community often fails to comprehend that.
Also comprehend that the longer your shooting distance is the
less likely hood there is to hit anything. So, don't configure
your ships to long gun range. You as primitive ships most times
shoot from 14km range enemies, not at 20km range.
Also comprehend that primitive ships kill mainly by guns and
radars, so don't prefer any torpedo ships and even if you have
them then don't use them. Only very few primitive ships and
specially premiums have fine topping angles, but even then the
chance to hit anything by tops is very low.
Prefer hydro primitive ships over non hydro ones. Otherwise you
just eat tops all the time.
The main general goal is to keep your Usefullness per minute
high. That means if you swimmer with a Dd for 15 seconds tops
ready and unused then that is a mistake, you didn't use the time
efficiently, you positioned wrongly etc. Best example is if a
ship swims to far from the team, specially a Dd, then he is
Useless. Obviously you try to hit every time something with your
bullets, tops, airplanes, every miss means a mistake, means
being Useless. So, the ideal is to keep every salvo hitting and
as less wasting time between salvos as possible. That is the
ultimate goal of being Useful. So, if you spend time swimming to
the irrelevant easycap while not using any guns and while your
team fights and dies in the main area, then the team died
because you were not useful. Swimming to easycaps and doing a
team split is always useless time waste and team waste.
All the maps are familiar old well known, understand all
locations on them. For example you as a Dd should even know
where to blind top I the beginning of the battles, typically to
radar cruiser positions. If you don't know such info and just do
dummy team splits or cap, then you are a clueless gambler.
Read Mm every time, not just looking it but making immediate
predictions. For example you can immediately see which Dds
outspoken or outgunned other Dds, which cruisers have the
weakest armor and need only 2 salvo hits to die, etc.
Those are all so simple knowledge and skills and if you don't
practice them then it is a very unlikely that you ever become a
golden member. Even today I see in Gold league your idols
prooving they don't know how to look if a Dd has smoke or not,
those are your idols with TeamsWr=70%. They write in chat to me
to set smoke when I have a torpedo reloaded I stead, and when I
ask if they read any Mm and looked smoke/reloder setups then
they become silent or say that they don't speak with 45% player.
The word Knowledge, knowhow, skill means you know that pressing
the Tab key and hoovering your mouse over Mm players shows you
info. Even your idol Haddi87/Rankedgood with high TeamsWr proved
he doesn't know that and therefore don't ever read the MM, many
other Gold members prove it everyday. If you don't know
something, then that mean you don't have knowledge, that is a
simple fact. There is no need to live in an illusion that 70%
teamsWr player knows more than 40% rating player if the clear
evidence proves that the higher teams rate player don't know how
to read Mm etc. Knowing does not depend on any ratings.
All such wisdom I wrote here should come from your mouth, if it
doesn't then don't live in an illusion that you know anything.
In Rankeds you must have a clear understanding how to get
maximum usefullness from your ship beside being Useful every
second per minute with your weapons. For example, long lasting
smoke ships can only maximise their ship usefullness if they
manage to set a smoke for the team and the team farms inside
that smoke well. Obviously the community often rejects such
smoke etc but you as a such smoke ship owner must position
smartly etc to maximise the lijelyhoid of the smoke benefit.
Majority don't even understand for example that Gearings main
feature is to set such farming smokes for others. Obviously
understand other features of your vehicles. That all takes
practice and dialogues, otherwise that knowledge doesn't ever
install to you.
