Today on 10-oct at 23:26 i cimpleted the Silver league with Tier
6-7 ships and i try to save down some data for future debates.
If you read which ships i planned to use then it was Japanese
Dds and mainly i did use them to complete the League. But i also
tried little bit other ships, including the new Australian DD. I
managed to put my premium commanders to T6-T7 DDs and when i
earned 400 gold in Rankeds then i used it to retrain my
commander.
The main victorious tactics was the same like in Bronze: a DD
sets smoke for a cruiser. But in Silver there were also CVs so i
did the Pair DDs tactics often and it was successful mostly. I
almsot never went straight to cap but most times to the middle
to scout. With 1 DD i used a torpedo reloader instead of smoke.
A lot of Random Battles minded people in silver league. For
example DDs are so obsessed with easy capping that they waste 4
minutes to swim to cap easy cap with a cruiser who could do it
alone and then swim back to the difficult cap area but at that
time the alley DD is already dead there. And very popular is to
swim far away to the corners of the map, and some like to go
alone to cap C while all other team went to A in the
horizontally placed caps map. Most luckiest battle was 4 kills
which is 66% of enemy ships killed by me. Some Cv killing
missions. Only 2-3 trolling battles yesterday and today in
total.
In gold League there seems to be T10-T11 ships. I use probably
japanese T11, Japanese T10s, Eu T10 DD, USA T10 DD, but i will
probably again test many other ship types as well. Becaue part
of the Rankeds is to test many ships and tactics and after
testing you nkwo which ones are best for you and you complete
the league. I believe i am most efficent with T11 Japanese DD,
but i will try other T11s as well and other ships.
1. i played silver league 3 days, 8th - 10th October. That made
total of 26+0+49+23 = 98 battles. So, it took ca 50 battles to
get Bronze R1 and from there ca 100 battles to get silver R1.

2. In the start i tested many ships and most battles did with T6
premium Pan Asian DD Anshan (8 battles) but also with Japanaese
T6 DDs, in total 26 battles for the 1st silver league day.

3. On the 2nd silver league day i played msotly Japanese T7 DDs
(18+15 battles) and in total 49 battles.

We can look those pictures and talk about final ship choice i
made. We can calculate winrates. And we can use those data for
future debates.
This time i did many ships ate 60-80% WR if you look and the 3rd
day WR was 60% which completed the league.
It seems that i always complete Bronze with ca 50 battles if the
tiers are less than 9. And Silver league seems to take 100
battles in case again the tier is less than 9. But if the tier
get 9-11 then it is usually more complex and takesm ore battles
to ocmplete.
Because starting from T9 the cruisers have very strong
radars/concealment ratio so a DD get almost always radared when
a cruiser sees that he is spotted and presses the radar button
and sees a DD at 9km distance and kills him. And T9+ has DDs
that are extremely specialized in close combat DD duels so it is
very difficult to progress again in such tiers. And other
issues, like maps are difficult to cap in MMs that have T9+
radar cruisers etc.
If Silver-Gold has T9-T11 ships then probably the league takes
200 battles in minimum for me. And because it is so big amount
of battles that one just gets bored and cannot concentrate so
long.
So, if one can complete Silver league in first sprint of the
Ranked Season, then is it again a luck and is he still a Bad
player like Wows community likes to believe?
I like the Rankeds system and it clearly filters well out more
skillful players to higher leagues. There is no way that one can
just make plenty of battles and get to the Gold league. No such
things possible and i have experienced and explained it earlier.
But i would suggest to even adda Diamond league. Even if the
diamond league would stay empty msot of the time then at the
last sprints of the Season it should contain some players and
enable 1 battle during 30 minutes range at least. Why not to
have such almsot empty leagues.

If you try to play T11 DD then 20 minutes of waiting time for a
battle in Gold league in Season 1 because not enough players
yet.
With T10 ship ittakes 1-8 minutes.
The average skill level i nthe Gold today is very nice. Clearly
above Randoms and Silver. For me the skill level seems to be
even little bit high but i totally enjoy skillful teams. After
few weeks the skill level goes down little bit. but it is very
fine now.

This time i managed to get to the gold league in Sprint 1 but i
doubt that i can complete it in this Season.
I have completed 1 time T10 Rankeds but this time i don't think
so. I haven't still found the way to be effective, some phrase
it as "haven't found the meta yet".
I mean, i don't know which ship type is the most effective for
me, and which ship specially, and which locations on the maps
are productive, etc.
I worked a lot with the Mild Package system which can be
published soon i guess. This is going to be a set of rules how
to play.
I saw that this time there are so many strong cruisers that have
strong guns and radars. Not many T11 DDs. I tried all ship types
but i should stil lstay on DDs but i don't know on which DDs and
where to go with them on the maps. So, i can't finish the league
this time with the current knowledge.
First days of the golden eague showed really high player skills
which was enjoyable to see. They were mentally very instable of
course but only those first days when you waited a battle long
minutes were ca 30 really fine players. I haven't seen such
quality before.
For some maps i know some good moves and i can publish them soon
but not many. When the sprint 2 starts then i can count how many
battles i need to get for example Rank 5. I am sure i can't get
Rank 1 at all this time. Maybe things change and the Gold gets
easier starting from Sprint 4-5 and then i can maybe finish it,
or when i accidentally find the effective methods.

Season 10 Rankeds started today and that is a good "exam time".
Wows community has a different exams and times: they don't care
about first day but first years and all other years in total as
an average over all ships, secondly, the battle mode must be
Randoms- so, for the community Exam=RandomsWR and for me
Exam=Bronze1stDayBattleCount.
I have been counting how many battles it needs from me to get
from Bronze rank 10 to Rank 1 without completing the rank 1. So,
i don't count battles quantity needed to achieve Silver rank 10
but i count until i complete Bronze Rank 2. This is how i have
been doing it and i have explanations for that choice.
1. Bronze Rank 1 status:

2. Ships i used. Obviously Tier 11 battles (6x) and Tier 10 (1x)
are from the previous ols Ranked Season and yesterday's.
So, in total i did: 18+14+2=34 battles to in this Season's exam.
Previous seasons i did 40-50 battles.

3. The total stats for today include 6+1 yesterday's battles.
So, if you are interested in the WR then it is not as the
picture shows 63% but something like that:
( 1 299,96 + 700 + 200 ) / (18+14+2) = 2 199,96 / 34 = 64.7 %.

As always i used DDs because DDs and CVs are advanced ship types
and don't rely on luck as much as primitive ship types. I don't
think that i am capable to complete the Bronze with a primitive
ship even with 200 battles. Because it just depends on the luck
how DDs play and if one of them dies then game over and even if
the DDs don't die so quickly then which skills a primitive ship
player can use at all to get the team to win? There are not much
skills, just shoot out bullets and wait a half minute doing
basically nothing. So, chosing a DD or CV is an obvious choice
but i don't have enough experience with CV aiming. It takes long
time to learn and remember aiming for each CV and it is the most
complex ship type anyway with other skills. I just can't even
remember how fast the torpedos swim for each CVs that i have so
i just can't use them.
If somebody can complete Bronze with a primitive ship with
around 50 battles then coem and tell which secret skills did you
use. I would say that such players jsut chose the most suitable
ship in current game version, msot times a new premium ship or a
new tech tree line ship etc. They know which are currently the
best primitive ships and use them, that is the main nkowledge
and when primitive ships start to exchange shots then the OP
ship wind at the end and the skill is to jsut know which are the
TOP 2 primitive ships right now. Secondly, aiming skill makes a
slight difference in the ping pong between primitive ships-
those who have more experience in aiming just win the exchange
round. Thirdly, there is a skill to don't show broad side and
that's it. For advanced ship types th skillset is more advanced
and requires more practice but pays at the end- it is like
learning MMA fighting quite long instead of Sumo wrestling and
at the end when MMA feels comfortable enough then it is easier
to "score" than with Sumo.
From primitive ships in MMS i saw one time a BB with planes
which spotted my DD very effectively and killed. I personally
think that was the best BB choice. Other times i saw msotly
premium BBs which. I would think that the BB should have short
firering range and not long one, that should help deciding, and
as fast guns reload as possible. From cruisers i guess Hydro and
Smoke are effective and probably Smoke little bit more. So,
maybe UK's cruisers because they seem to have both those items.
But this is only my guess about primitive ships and i saw so
many different so i couldn't understand which is the best
choice. But i repeat that even if you chose the best suitable
cruiser/BB then what would you do if your DD jsut dies?
From CVs was effective the one which specializes to frog bombs.
Those are always the best for Rankeds. Immelman, russian Cv, and
one premium french T6 CV. But such CV player must understand
that he msut hunt mostly DDs to be effective. From my 34 battles
i had around 4 battles with CVs.
From DDs i saw Japanese premium T6 DD Shimome and i don't
understand why people use it because it is worse than standard
Japanese DDs. At least i didn't see any russian DDs. I can't say
which DD was the msot popular, maybe premiums Anshan and
Shinome.
I used appearantly Japanese DDs which have the longest torpedo
range and best concealment. As always i almsot never went to
cap. I don't play primitive Randoms tactics. But i didn't do
anything special. Maybe what appeared special was that i don't
almsot ever sit in my smoke. Other DDS like to sit in smoek and
cap liek you see in Randoms but i never do that. I set smoke for
cruisers and others often of course. I use mostly wide range
torpedos which is also a different than the commnuity does. I
think the victory formula was like the following:
1. good concealment and long range torps make it safe to spot
and make lot of damage to the enemies. So, choose long torpedo
range DDS, only Japanese.
2. set smoke for cruisers.
3. general knowledge, like, stay together with the team and
don't go far away, avoid using guns, before hiding behind a rock
shoot bulelts, find some rocks sometiems to be behind not
spotted and shoot bullets. Etc.
It required 14 stars to complete the league and i spent 2-3
battles for each star- 34 battles in total. The best would be 14
battles of course.
Obviously i end the exam mode now and just play casually next
weeks. But i documented it again and i can use it in
argumentations later.
I try sometimes one more exam when i am in gold league but not
very often. I remember it takes 200 battles from me to complete
gold if i reallt try. But i don't liek to try, so i prefer to do
thousands of battles isntead.
I suggest everyone to do the same exam. There really is no point
to play Randoms because they are so random and primitive. Play
first day Rankeds with best players around to see how good you
actually are. Building RandomsWR is like "r-a-p-i-n-g" children
and mentally ill people and later being proud of the results-
something like that. If you care about any skill measuring then
do some exams/fight in real leagues.

To see popular ship choices i psot T8 Silver league MMs
screenshots.
From DDs obviously the premium Cossack is the most popular. But
i don't have it. I have Loyang which has very weak guns but does
almsot as good as Cossack. But i think the best is still
Japanese gunboat DD andn ot the torpedo DD, 2nd best is Cossack,
then Loyang, then Brittish DD. Grom CVs probably Kaga, and
russian CVs. From primitive ships i am not sure yet, that's why
i post screenshots next. In T8 radar cruisers should be most
suitable, and low range fast reload BBs i guess, maybe german
BBs. Let's see after screenshots.
1. Seems like in T8/Silver CVs are more popular than in
T6/Bronze. Cossack obviously the most popular DD.

2. In this MM players chose bad ships because they are obsessed
with nationalities perhaps. for example, Ukraine and other
slavic/russian countries prefer to speak russian,be russian
minded, and use russian ships. All know that russian DDs are the
worst but if you are a "Ukrainian" then obviously you like
russia and russian ships. From russian DDs only T10 Grozovoi is
usable but all other russian ships are unusable. Also in this
battle the russian DD couldn't do anything good than easycapping
which is forbidden for advanced players. Italian DDs are the 2nd
worst choice, the 3rd worst choice is french DDs. So, this MM
had only 2 wise DD choices. From CVs the Implacable is bad
because Brittish CVs don't have frog bombs which are essential
in Rankeds where the winner is who kills first one DD and not
the one who kills a cruiser/BB. American DD Benson is a good
choice because long lasting smoke but his goal must be
imemdiately to set smoke in front of a cruiser, if he don't do
that then his team loses.
I'm not sure about those BBs in the MM, one looks liek a russian
armor-oriented BB- such BBs have no benefit in Rankeds. The
other BB seems german one which is a good wise choice.
The CV Kaga is a good CV but msot suitable CVs should be
frog-oriented.
This MM had 2 primitive ship types and 4 advanced ship types,
not bad. Often MM has primitives in majority.

This MM has an italian cruiser which is fine in case the player
holds his fire and uses it only when he sees first DD and
understands that his goal is the same like frog-ships have- hunt
DDs. If no luck with DD spotting then they become useless but
this is common to all primitive ships. In this MM iset 2 times
smoke for the italian cruiser and he farmed a lot behind the
smoke. So, the victory came from swimming in front of the
cruiser and setting smoke forgetting any obsessive thougths
about capping or DD splitting or other wrong tactics.
The MM has the tech tree newest add-on Japanese light cruiser.
Usually new ships have some good aspects to make them popular in
the beginning months but i don't think that light cruisers and
torpedo cruisers are suitable for Rankeds. In Rankeds the
cruisers should use radars and smoke.
You see in the picture also american BB. I'm not sure about such
choice, probably an average choice. I would suggest to chose
something that kills DDs well (Italian BB, German BB) and not
such that make citadel hits to enemy BBs. There is no need to
focus on BB killing.

This MM paired my Loyang with enemy Loyang, other choices the MM
tries are Cossack and english DD as i understand.
You see american radar cruisers here- Clevelands/Baltimore.
Radarers are the most suitable ships for Rankeds. But remember
that cruisers are still primates, but you may call them smart
primates if you like.
The premium CV enterprize doesn't have frog-bombs and it had
other non-suitable aspects like some bombs are only AP which
makes them totally useless against DDs. So, it is a bad choice
CV.
Russian BBs have armor which is useless for BBs in Rankeds, and
low guns reload time which is again a useless thing in Rankeds.
Better fire more frequently to take out the first DD which
declares the team as a winner. I think all russian BBs are not
suitable for Rankeds and mostly people who are obsessed with
nationality and premiums use them. Of course also those peopel
who don't have anything else.
You see on the picture also a Japanese BB which is a bad choice.
Because long guns range is useless in Rankeds. Such ships should
just wait and hold fire when the enemy CV is spotted and then
shoot first salvo towards the CV. But such long range HE shot
doesn't make much damage anyway. Japanese BBs have no place in
Rankeds.

So, i try to write shortly some suggestions.
1. Use advanced ship types. CVs, DDs.
2. Frog-bombs CVs. In Bronze use DDs with good concealment and
long torpedo range. In Silver use DDs with radar/hydro or good
concealment and smoke. Just avoid those DDs: russian, italian,
french, european. In Gold avoid only those: russian (except
Grozovoi), italian.
3. The main way to win is to be first to kill a DD. So,
primitive ships should hold fire until first enemy DD gets
spotted and shoot him then as their first salvo in the game.
Chose ships that are msot suitable for DD huntig: fast guns
reload and less armor and less shooting range, SAP bulelts, long
range secondaries.
4. Don't use Randoms/brainwashed tactics in Rankeds and Clan
battles. The reason is the same why you don't use a fork to eat
a soup. Use right tactics/tools for right things. Randoms
tactics are suitable for Randoms, a spoon is suitable for soups.
So, forget brainwashed believes. There is no need for DDs to
split, there is no need for DDs to sit i ntheir own smoke while
their cruisers die outside any smokes, no need to shoot as soon
as possible but instead hold your fire until a more valuable
target becomes visible, some maps have easycaps that DDs should
never visit, etc. Those suggestions are difficult to comprehend
for the racist community. Also, don't demoralize your team with
debunked slogans about Karma Soup etc.
Shortly so.

A picture of my 9 ships to chose from for Silvers.
Obviously i don't prefer to chose cruisers because they are
primitive ships but specially light cruisers die very quickly in
Rankeds. so, the premium Irian is useless, and torpedo cruisers
are most useless cruisers anyway in rankeds, specially the ones
with deep water torps. So, such cruiser is totally unsuitable
for Rankeds.
The italian BB doesn't have SAP shells which might be help in
damaging DDs but has a HE shells which have low fire rate and
long reload time. The tech tree italian BB is more suitable, but
in general all BBs are primitive ships and italian ones are not
the best among those. So i would never use that ship. I got it
from a container.
Japanese torpedo boat Kagero has the best concealment compared
to other DDs so it scouts well and torpedos are good but guns
are very weak and have very short range. So, it is not my first
and 2nd choice, but a 3rd preference one from my list.
I have a radar DD but i don't have a captain in it and i don't
feel yet well in it. The T10 brother for that ship feels more
comfortable to me but that T8 version i don't feel well to use
so i don't use it. I think German DD is more universal in my
opinion and with almost the same range Hydrophone plus also
smoke. So, i would use German one instead that Pan Asian in T8,
but in T10 the Pan Asian is fine but still i don't prefer very
often. In T8 you hit other DDs with torps quite often so it is
wiser to use other DDs than Pan-Asian deep water DDs. And, in
T6-8 setting smoke for cruisers has such a big profit compared
to a 7km radar. So, i don't think that in Silver that deep water
DD is a good choice and certainly German and British DDs with
Hydrophones and smoke are better.
I have american t8 CV but you need 2 CVs to play because if one
is dead i nthe battle then you don't wait but take the 2nd one.
And i don't have enough skills on CVs, i need to practice 1 week
with 2 CVs to remember aimings for them and after that i can use
them in average level. Maybe i will try such week one day. But
right now i can't use CVs.
The american DD Kidd has long lasting smoke and long range guns
so it means you have to sit in your own smoke. But who spots for
you then and who spots for the team then? And sitting in smoke
is forbidden anyway foradvanced players. So, i don't use that
DD. And that gunboat has only 5 torps with a huge reload time
and compared to Japanese gunboat the guns are weaker.
TOP 1 is Japanese gunboat and the 2nd is Pan Asian Hydrophone
DD. From my choices. I use what i have. I don't have credits and
prem account to make credits and i don't play Randoms usually
with dummy premium ships to make credits, so i can't afford to
buy a German T8 DD and use it.
2 boats are fine. As a DD player those 2 DDs are enough for me
to complete the Silver.
If you play dummy ship types like cruisers, then also ensure you
have 2 of them. For example, have a Cleveland and Baltimore. As
a CV player, have a russian CV and Kaga, as a BB player have
something which is not russian, japanese, french, i'm not sure
which BBs are good DD hunters perhaps german ones.

Appears like 70% of battles in Silvers have CVs which is smart
because those are the most advanced ship types.
In Bronze only 10% of battles had CVs.

I completed the silver league with 3 ships as you see in the
screenshot.
TOP 3 ships for Rankeds are: Cossack, Akizuki, Loyang, but i
don't have the Akizuki.
The Cossack makes playing quite easy but not so easy that one
would call it "over easy" or "over powered". It is the strongest
DD in T8 right now but in Rankeds most chose that ship so it the
MM balances things and makes fair if you want to phrase so.
I can write about that ship and Rankeds later.
But now i have an argument for debates: How can a Sprint 2 gold
Member be bad human? I have earlier also completed the Gold
league in Sprint 1 but this time i got 1 month ban so i couldn't
do it in Sprint 1 but 2. I can talk about the ban next
somewhere.
We can talk about other ship type choices next in silver too.
But there is no need to talk endlessly, if we talk we talk, if
we don't there is no need either. It is what it is.

On the picture are my available ships for the Gold league for
next sprints.
I tried first time a torpedoless DD and seems it is quite easy
to complete with it the league.
I don't use cruisers and BBs obviously, but all 4 DDs o nthe
picture i will use.
My first thought is that Firesland is the strongest TOP 1 ship
for this Rankeds. I'm not sure about TOP 2-3 yet.
About cruisers cruisers hydrophone ships are the best, like
always.
