       New USN Destroyers

       So three new American Destroyers have been announced, at least
       on the dev blog. They are premiums, but I'm interested to see if
       they are for steel, coal, or even free xp like my Alaska. I do
       realize these are test ships right now, so these stats are more
       than likely going to change.
       I am a little biased to the USN as thats all I play, but I do
       like USS Hill as a tier 5 premium destroyer. The USN has two
       tier 5 crusiers and a battleship, the destroyer completes the
       tier 5 premium line up.
       Hit points — 12100. Plating — 10 mm.
       Main battery — 5x1 127 mm. Firing
       range — 11.3 km.
       Maximum HE shell damage — 1800. Chance to cause
       fire — 5%. Maximum AP shell
       damage — 2100.
       Reload time — 4.0 s. 180 degree turn

       But the tier 9 USS Benham, I don't know about since we already
       have Black but then again Black is for steel in the Armory. If I
       had Black, I could probably point out the differences between
       the two of them. I feel that Benham is just here for players who
       don't collect steel to get a tier 9 destroyer.

       I feel like Somers is just there. No real purpose in-game, just
       there I guess as a different destroyer to have than Gearing.

       I wish they'd go easy on the number of t9 and t10 premiums, some
       of the lower tiers deserve some attention.

       Yeah the US is pretty loaded with high teir premiums even though
       I have yet to get Georgia, Black, and Missouri. But, I do like
       my Alaska, but I'd like to see more 'stupid' ships like our
       Smith division last night lol

       Yeah I think we all forget just how much fun the lower tiers
       actually are, complete torp soup and utter mayhem.

       I love my Smith. The ship is damn near impotent, but spamming
       torps at under ten second reloads is very fun. I have a trio of
       T2 DD's that I like playing. The Smith, the Umikaze, and the
       Tachibana. Nothing beats the Smith's insane torp reload, but the
       Umikaze and the Tachibana still pump them out every 22 seconds.
       At T3 I love playing the Russian Derzki. 22 second reload for 10
       torps. Having the torps set up in 2 tube batteries is nice. It
       gives you flexibility in how many you fire. I've surprised
       several players with how many torps it can fire. I've had some
       very satisfying battles in the Derzki. I think it is an under
       appreciated ship, for its tier.

       V-25 is the ultimate troll DD, stick a 14 pt or above captain in
       there and you will have hours of fun.
