Fuso vs Izmail

Just yesterday I got out of the Kongo and into the Fuso. Wow
what a difference between them!
I’m liking the Fuso for the most part. However, I’ve run into a
ship that seems to be the bane of my Fuso.
The Izmail.
I’ve gone up against an Izmail numerous times now in my Fuso.
Nearly every battle I’ve had in my Fuso so far has at least one
Izmail. I’ve only survived this encounter once, and that was
because other teammates were with me and they sank the Izmail.
It was my Fuso, a cruiser and a destroyer against the Izmail.
The CR and the DD did more damage to the Izmail than I did. The
DD’s torps got it.
My Fuso, in the above battle and every other battle I’ve had
against an Izmail, nearly all my shots bounce. Those very few
that do connect do so little damage it’s pitiful.
I’ve hit it from every angle (Bow on, quarter angle both forward
and stern, full broadside, and straight astern.) and different
distances (long range to point blank), and different parts of
the ship, all with the exact same affect. My shots just bounce.
I’ve hit it full broadside at least three times and my shots
just bounce.
Once I was 1.5K distance, full broadside, aimed at the waterline
right in the center. I thought finally, I’m going to get some
damage with this shot, there’s no way I can’t. I connected with
10 out of 12 guns and got 10 bounces.
That ranks as one of the most frustrating and discouraging shots
I’ve ever taken in this game.
FYI, I have used AP ammo in every encounter with an Izmail in my
Fuso.
Can anyone explain what is happening here?

I believe that all the Russian BB citadels are above the
waterline. I found out today in a Vladi vs Vladi match the it's
citadel is near the back turret. Give that a try

Thanks I will. Right after I posted this I finally hit an Izmail
at the citadel. And then 73rd did a practice battle with me and
I had no problem damaging his Izmail with my Fuso. So I don't
know what in the world has been going on so far with my Fuso.
Most likely operator error. :)
