       New Season

       I dipped my toe into ranked last night for a couple of games,
       first game was going well when my client locked up, I could hear
       things going on, I could see only a zoomed in view and couldn't
       move the view at all, everything else seemed to be working but
       my view was locked zoomed in and just useless. I popped Task
       Manager and killed the client and restarted, by the time it had
       restarted and logged me in the game had just finished and I
       found that we had won and I was unsurprisingly dead and bottom
       of the table. To my teammates credit my karma didn't receive a
       hit as I had managed to send a chat message that my client had
       screwed up. So I try again with my Yamato to see what happens.
       Best ranked game I have ever had, personal record, top of the
       table and you can see the results below.

       A very satisfying experience, good to hold the CO-OP clan head
       high among the random scrubs!

       I'm grinding my way toward the Yamato myself. I have a long way
       to go, I just got into the Fuso last week. It's still mind
       blowing to me to see scores like this. I'm still down in the mid
       tiers with all my ships. The highest tiered ship I have is my T7
       Lyon.
       I choose to have only one BB, one CR and one DD to work up to
       T10. So I looked over all of the ships very carefully. I still
       ended up changing ships part way through. I dropped the
       Pan-Asian DD's in favor of the American DD's, and dropped the
       French CR's for the British CR's. For the BB's I choose the
       French because they have the only T10 BB with a artillery score
       of 100. But after reading further I had to get into the Japanese
       line of BB's to get the Yamato. So I'm grinding two BB lines
       instead of dropping the French BB's. I've been happy with the
       French line so far.
       Thanks for sharing your scores. That's very cool. I hope I can
       do half as well in ranked battles once I get there.

       You should participate in Ranked Sprint, it is t7 and coming in
       the next patch I think (Wednesday). It is very different to
       Ranked and on the whole I think much more enjoyable, the grindy
       aspect isn't as prevalent and individually you can have a much
       bigger impact on a match. The grind and yoyo tendencies of
       Ranked bore me and if I get a consistent up and down in stars
       and I don't think it is me then I quit. The frustrations that
       you see people having with Ranked (watch some twitch streams) is
       not for me, I refuse to get that worked up over some other
       players ineptitude.
