You know what? That's exactly what I did when I joined, and
funny, it's exactly what I do now. I sign in to Xbox, join a
platoon, shoot things, occasionally drown, laugh sometimes. I
post on the forum too and learn tactics from more experienced
people. I see some things happen and people leave and think Oh
well, your loss, seeya on the field.
I guess I'm just not interested in all the other stuff and don't
think you have to be. Am I wrong?
[/quote]
Bingo! My thoughts exactly.

cannot play with the members you like to play with, it was a
request to not play EXCLUSIVELY with those members. Everyone was
hyped on clan wars and a cluster of exclusive cliques would not
do as well as a group that has all played together. It seems
that I must have worded thing badly as no one got this message
from my email. As for the most recent events see my shoutbox

robert,
Just my thoughts on this...
"Once the arrow is loosed; it cannnot be brought back"
Not implying, by any means, there was a figurative "arrow" aimed
at anyone with ill intent.
Never the less, the arrow was loosed! Examine the effects of
the arrow... Make corrections (you previously had), estimate the
effects of the arrow,(you previously had) and MOST important...
Noch a new arrow!!!
Stop apologizing for voicing your opinion! I love ya' Man!
You(and others) started this group of Old Farts and Fogies...
I my opinion, that gives you the right to speak your mind.
It is up to the audience to agree or disagree. Simple. Right???

This may sound as if I am being nosy, but what the hell is going
on?
We have these dramatic flare-ups occasionally (sarcasm alert!!!)
and there is never a clear indication as to what, who, why these
things are occurring. I realize some items should remain
confidential/un-aired, but we seem to have threads full of
innuendo, insults and hidden meaning without ever having a clear
indication of what is going on. I would like to at least have
some facts as to the issue in question so that I could consider
what is going on and draw an opinion based on facts.
Or, then again maybe I am just being nosy...
:sceptic:

To post on topic here:
While I totally get your thinking on this, Faethor, a group this
size is going to need a few folks "at the top" (so to speak --
not like I can put this stuff
on my resume or anything  ) who handle admin tasks,
drafting ideas and rules that membership can vote upon, coming
up with contest ideas
and special days, and host of other surprisingly time-consuming
topics.
Would I love a group that doesn't need such a thing? Well, sure
I would! But, for better or worse, I can't think of a large
group that doesn't have some
sort of structure.
Now, I am TOTALLY up for discussing/altering the way that
structure is currently constructed. In fact, we've (the BoD)
already have some ideas on
how to do so -- adding a few junior members into the
decision-making process, altering some BoD roles, etc.
So let's certainly have some ideas on that front. And like I
noted upthread, we're working on it. And we need the help of the
entire clan!! :thumb:
Let's be more open and honest and transparent -- WITHOUT all of
the General Hospital-worthy drama and egos and conflicts.
Let's prove we are actually mature grown ups. Well, okay. Maybe
not "mature" but at least grown up...ish.
In short: Let's find ways to just have fun and shoot red tanks!!

This right here is exactly what I have been experiencing. I
have only been a member of OFF for a short while, but since I
have joined, I try to participate in the forums, I joined the
Super Test program, and I am now starting to platoon a lot more.
And on the platooning, I have to say that it is probably the
most fun that I have had playing WoT since I have started!!!
This is the whole reason that I joined this clan, so that I
could play with a bunch of immature people like me that are my
age, that know what living the life of an adult is like with
work and families and such, but can get together and have
something in common that we can laugh and have fun with, killing
reds, or at least have a laugh while getting killed by the reds.
