An open letter to OFF Members on a day that we have lost 4 good
members and possibly more.
I have written two long letters talking about why I love this
game and why I love being part of a clan/club/squad/whatever.
Both turned into something I didn't feel would get the point
across, so this is what you get from a mere Jr member that is
entirely invested in staying with a good group of people that I
enjoy playing with.

That is the whole point to my letter. People are different, and
guess what...
[center]YOU ARE DIFFERENT TOO. [/center]
If you feel that you should be accepted and respected then begin
with accepting and respecting others.
Now for the rest:
What exactly do we need a board of directors for? If you can
make a legitimate list of why we need this, then by all means,
do it. With all respect to the BoD, you shouldn't have to
babysit a bunch of grown ups.
Why do we need people that are designated as staff? We don't
train because we don't have clan wars. We all (every damn one
of us) give pointers and help people when they ask and I'm yet
to meet an OFFer that isn't friendly to new people when they
come aboard.
We have one thing that needs a small amount of maintenance and
that's the forum. There are people with lots of time on their
hands that are happy to help with this. Somebody is always
willing to help with these types of things.
Elect a president for the club and that person can poll trusted
players for input on new members and a decision can be made from
there. If clan wars should ever materialize, then ask for a
couple of match coordinators. I'm certain we can find someone
to help with this if and when it becomes a real thing.
This shouldn't be work. This shouldn't be stressful. This
shouldn't be an issue.
If you offend someone, own it and apologize.
If somebody apologizes to you, accept it at face value and let
it go.
Have fun. Shoot reds. Laugh. Bust balls. Virtual high fives
all around. Say goodnight. Repeat as needed or when you need a
good laugh.
The more complicated we make things, the less we enjoy doing
them. These clubs evolve just like games do. Why do we need to
stay static while the game we play constantly changes?
Perhaps it's time to simplify this clan.

Ok, I've not checked on the forum for a while .. and wasn't
aware that we had lost another 4 members.
I was aware that 2 had left when they sent me a message on XBL,
one stating the reasons why he left and that he still wanted to
platoon with me and other gaming stuff.
If what he states is true and i understand there are two sides
to every debate / argument .. then i have grave concerns on
what's gone on.
I won't post their comments, since i would like a statement from
the BOD on what's happened and then i will reply directly to
them via PM.

I'll respond more in depth later, but for now I'd just like to
note that if we could trust everyone to act like goddamn adults
there would never have been all this bullshit drama in the first
place.
And yet...
Yes, I'm pissed. Not at you, Faethor, but at the fact there is
no way we can win. If we do what some want, people leave. We do
what others want, another group leaves. It just doesn't
matter--someone will always be mad they didn't get their way.
Anyway...I'll share more when I get on a PC vs my phone.

Why does it matter to people that they 'get their way' on a
forum designed to team-up like minded old farts to play a game
with tanks in it? :sceptic:
Jebus, some folk need a bit of perspective. Think of all the
crap going on in the world and then compare that to your
inconsequential gripes and "he said, she said" squabbles that
revolve around PLAYING A FUCKING GAME!
I don't often get too annoyed with this sort of stuff, and there
is an argument that I don't know people well enough to comment,
but for (insert name of preferred deity)'s sake it's enough to
drive you to drink.
My dad has a saying when he can't understand how people act. It
goes, "It's a wonder I don't shake my head off."
I can see where the old bugger is coming from.
Now, settle down and stop your grumbling you daft old sods.

partied, platooned, and killed red tanks. I have been trying to
figure out what went wrong. I have it.
Feathor you are right. Keep it simple. All of the heartache
started when the BoD sent that e- mail about cliques forming in
the clan and how we can't have that. Everyone that has been here
since the begging of June ( very few of us now ) think about
this and you will realize that I am right. I
The BoD started the ball rolling on all the crap that has gone
on since then.

Not sure if this is the only reason...but defiantly one of them.
