THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!

I learned to play this game from a guy that, quite frankly, was
clueless. He moved on to other games, but I became addicted and
began studying how to truly play this game well.
Then, about a month ago, something just ... clicked.
It's as if I can almost tell where a match is headed within the
first 60 seconds and can adjust my play accordingly to help. Oh,
sure, there are times I'm utterly Derptastic, and getting to
learn new tanks still takes a tad bit of time. But, overall, my
results are on a very strong upward trajectory.
Just look at how this weekend went (the third such successful
weekend in a row):
Totals:
- Battles: 141
Survived: 64 (45%)
Wins/losses: 87/53 (60%)
Kills/deaths: 160/77 (2.07 ratio)
Damage Caused/received: 94,249/62,154 (1.51 ratio)
And about 95% of this improvement is because of this clan. (I'll
grant myself the other 5% :smileplain: )
I have learned soooooo damn much in the past few months by just
playing and watching others, from how to effectively play
mediums and lights, the ways to brawl with heavies, or how to
wipe out the reds without them knowing where we even are (like
our TOG platoon on Widepark last night -- those poor bastards
still don't know what hit them!).
All of you have helped make me a better tanker, taught me how to
be more patient (which I've applied outside of the game, too)
and even given me some confidence that, yes, there are times I
actually do know what the hell I'm doing. Not many, but
some.
So THANK YOU to everyone. Truly.

If that's the case then, by your logic, I've learned NOTHING
Really, this weekend has been loss after loss after loss.
I know how to read a battle. I know where to go. I can tell
when a win or a loss is happening before it's blatently obvious.
All this does me no good at all.
The T32 is still rear-ending me and now I have the IS helping it
as they both take turns in shafting me while the other holds me
down.
I thought things had clicked for me too a month or so ago, but I
think I've reached my natural talent ceiling. Once I get the IS
off stock, that's where I'll leave that line. Tier 8 is a step
too far for me.
I hope you can keep it going but, for me, I'm either going to
have to keep to Tier 7 and below or quit altogether and do
something that doesn't make me shout at TV's (this also rules
out the History and Discovery Channels and MTV).

Well, if I helped in any way you are welcome sir. If I have not
then you are still welcome.

Keep at it Greyza. The game does subtly change in the higher
tiers. They are certainly less forgiving. But you'll get to
grips with it. Wasn't so ling ago I would shy away from tier 8
+ battles but now I spend more time playing them than others.
It'll fall into place for you to. We have some hugely
experienced tankers in the clan. Hook up with them and it'll
help no end.

I totally agree with Phunk... Tier 8 is one of my favorite
tiers to play. That is where you really start to learn
strategy, tactics, and where to hit tanks.
Greyza- I pulled your tank list and I would suggest finishi8ng
up your Jagdpanther and getting your Jagdpanther II. That is a
tank that can make a difference at Tier VIII, even if it is not
fully upgraded. Once you get that final package, look out.

I'm considering waiting for tier VIII until I unlock the JPII or
even the Tiger II.
I do want the T-32, but have heard a LOT of negative things
about it and really don't want my first tier VIII tank to be a
disappointment. And I'm in no huge rush to get to the higher
tiers -- still have many things I'd like to keep working on
before jumping into the deep end (sidescraping, learning how to
play mediums well, etc.).
Of course, I've hated tanks people really like (the Pz IV) and
been okay with the ones they've hated (M3 Lee comes to mind
:hiding: ) so ...

Yep can't go wrong with a JPII. Its one of my keepers. And that
final package...ooo the sweet sweet damage it causes.

Thanks for your suggestions guys (sorry to drag your thread off
topic TKE).
I have the JP2, Tiger 2 and Panther 2 all unlocked with the #1
versions all elited.
OK, I'll try the JP2 first as I did quite like the JP1.
Got the 122 on the IS last night and after about 3 games I had a
3k+ damage game, so that was encouraging.
I'm still the T32's bitch though.

the t32 is a fickle bitch i think it's one of the hardest tankes
to play. I have a love hate relationship with it i love it some
matches other times i can't pen a Ltracter in it
