Ever have some old piece of crap laying around the house... See
it in an ad for less money than you bought it for 6 months
ago... Go to the store buy a new one... Put the old one in the
box the new one came in, go back to the store with the receipt
and return it?
No different here.

You cannot exploit something that is designed to perform a
certain way. This game is a business. and they create the
design and the protocols. If you can sell something and then
buy it back at a discount that is becasue it is designed that
way.
If we are going down the slippery road of exploitation, than
what about the person who takes advantage of a sale, and
exploits the one who paid and played his way to the full price
item.
Cheating is when you nefariously break the rules, when you hack
into something, when you steal. Utilizing a system, by
operating within its design is never exploitation nor cheating.
Likewise, WG can always decide to not have a sale, or any sales,
or create a sale that functions how they want, or whatever. But
this guilt trip being presented to people is silly. I gave this
scenario on the forum, if we wish to act on this false sense of
integrity:

So player #1 has played and spent his butt off. He has 60
pieces of equipment worth 22.4 million in silver on the 20 tanks
he owns. It has taken a lot of play and a good chunk of change
on Premium tanks and the rest to get where he is.
Player #2 also has 20 tanks, but he has not played nearly as
much and spent nothing. He basically has a gun rammer on each
one of his tanks and moves on and off equipment that do not have
gold penalties on the rest. He has been saving up for a new
tank but now the sale comes. He can fully equip all his tanks
at half price, and he does.
Player #1 can do nothing with the sale, he is fully loaded, and
his Mom, Mother Teresa (his Mom, not known publicly--but trust
me she is a great mom), taught him that he should feel immense
guilt if ever anything works out to his advantage. So, he
figures that it would be stealing to move anything around.
Forget the fact that all his time and money was gained, or
should I say exploited, by player #2 who is now in the same
place as he.
All sales have the inherent quality of hurting the schmuck who
payed full price.
What really should happen, if we have a sale on equipment again,
is everyone should think, do I really want to get this equipment
at half price, when my fellow citizen of the world had to work
so hard for his.

I thought "buy low and sell high" was the entreprenurial way!
Honestly, if it is available in the game code and can be
exploited(not a negative meaning in that word) by the player,
"Clever use of game mechanics" is the official term, and I have
no problem with that.

I have seen other games that have a buy/sell function. It just
creates it's own economy. Just a way for the players to play the
game. Couldn't tell you how much I would love to sell off the
Large Repair Kits I won during the Missions for silver value.
