Nyx just posted, in a thread I got way to involved in, that
anyone who spent gold to dump equipment should file a ticket to
get a refund...good news for a few of you guys!!
I was pushing for ya!

I don't know why WG didn't flag this issue before and come up
with a fix if they are unhappy with people using it to make
silver. It was never a secret. People posted about how much
silver they made after the last discount event, everyone knew
about it, players and WGA.

My thoughts which are worth nothing. get people used to it ,get
enough players spending gold then cancel it when it is most
profitable. They posted they were aware of the exploit yet
waited until today to cancel it. WOT could have just as easily
not announced it until the day of and not lost a single piece of
silver.

Spent gold doing this last night. I knew at the time it was a
bad idea as it went against my whole philosophy of playing this
game (only use gold for garage slots).
Pretty hacked off with WG at this point; bug-ridden updates,
event FUs, frustrating game mechanics, tank nerf/buffs etc.
Most of this is probably in my head and symptomatic of me
falling out of love with WOT. I seemed to have much more fun
with it a few months ago. The 'cons' column has more entries
than the 'pros' right now.
Need to get back to playing my guitars and not so much WOT.
Maybe that will mellow me out a bit. Just enough to keep me
dipping in for the odd game, anyway.

They will refund your gold for the canceled even per Nyx post in
the official forum just put in a ticket.
I checked this morning before work....equipment isn't 1/2 price.

Ok so maybe it doesn't need to be said but here goes anyway. Is
it just me or does this seem like a hack/ exploit of the game.
Instead of people just taking advantage of the sale and saving
on equipment for their tanks, people are basically abusing the
system. If this was wall street they would call it insider
trading. Martha Stewart got in trouble for it. Now people are
upset they blew there gold to exploit the system? Maybe there a
lesson to be learned here. How would you explain these actions
to your child. Do we all agree this is actually acceptable to
do. People can tell me they spend lots of cash and gold on this
game, I still don't think it is right. People will say it's only
game, lighten up, it's doesn't hurt anyone. I think it it does,
it hurts the very person that participates in it. I know it's a
grey area but I like being able to look in the mirror. I'm not
attacking anyone here, I am just stating my opinion.

Yeah, I'm kinda in agreement with you on this. Something just
didn't feel right about this "exploit". I'm not saying anybody
who has done it in the past has done anything wrong. I just
knew this wouldn't turn out well.

For the mental pain and emotional turmoil WOT causes me (I've
gone a lot greyer since February :bigsmile: ), I've got no
problem gaming the system.
Hell, the way I figure it, WG owe me a bit of a break from time
to time. :wink:
