Was T1E6 X sold as a premium package or a gift from war gaming?

I think it was a gift, I'll check and see if it is in the
updated tech tree and if it is there I'll post back.

The X was a gift from WG for logging in on a certain date not
too long ago.
Wasn't it an anniversary thing, or similar?

Yes it was a gift if you logged in during the weekend a couple
of weeks ago. On that weekend it all went ridiculous with every
tier II battle having 10 lights and one medium of arty in them.
Freakin nuts running your own T1E6 X around trying to shoot 10
other madmen in T1E6 X's. I switched to my T18 and had a blast
Derping them :). I sold it for the silver (think it was 160K
worth or something like that) as it wasn't a great light and
everyone had one and it was worth more for the garage slot and
silver.
