Lets talk music
By: Greyza Badger Date: August 29, 2014, 5:32 am

There have been a few mentions of music to tank to and that is a
very specific need, usually upbeat, hard rocking stuff.
Stuff to get the blood going.
That's all well and good, but what's in the rest of your
iTunes/MP3 library?
Post a list of Artists where you have full, single artist albums
(greatest hit are OK), but no compilations (eg, Dad Rock Vol.
27)
Don't leave anything out (hey, if you like "t.A.T.u.", who are
we to judge?) and don't add anything you think will make you
look cool.
Here's mine (some are probably very UK specific, sorry) in no
particular order...
ABC, Half Man Half Biscuit, Electric Light Orchestra,
Nickleback, Green Day, Black Country Communion,
Def Leppard, OMD, Joe Bonamassa,
Black Stone Cherry, Blur, David Bowie,
Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Metallica,
Madness, Steel Panther, Kirsty MacColl,
Goldfrapp, Duran Duran, Human League,
Whitesnake, Guns N Roses, AC/DC,
Killing Joke, Faunts, Soft Cell,
John Foxx, Kraftwerk, Led Zeppelin,
Nirvana, Ozric Tentacles, Leftfield,
New Order, Robbie Williams, Stevie Ray Vaughan,
Blondie, Ultravox, The Cure,
The Smiths, Alice Cooper, Johnny Cash,
Depeche Mode, Joanne Shaw Taylor, ZZ Top,
Pixies, Virgil and the Accelerators, Oasis,
Franz Ferdinand, Madonna, Gorillaz,
Pink Floyd, Squeeze, Talking Heads,
The Who, Goldie Looking Chain, Pet Shop Boys,
Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, The Ramones,
Chemical Brothers, The Zutons, Arctic Monkeys,
Television, Sex Pistols, Gary Numan,
Proclaimers, Daft Punk, Amy Winehouse,
Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Adam & the Ants,
Macc Lads, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes,
Coldplay, Art of Noise, Terrorvision,
Heaven 17, Groove Armada
EDIT: It's worth pointing out that I spent my formative years
during the early/mid 80's
EDIT 2 : It's just occurred to me that some of you old farts are
old enough and farty enough to still have a wall of vinyl. If
that's the case, you get a pass.

Hey, no calling people out
I do have some Iron Maiden knocking around, but only the odd few
tracks, not a full album.

Greyza, I can see strictly by your music we'd get along :)
I dont have many full albums on itunes so my list would be short
if adhering to the rules. I do listen to a variety of music
however, and like you, grew up when MTV was spawned and played
music non-stop. Headbangers Ball was event that went on VHS for
multiple viewings.
Everything from Dire Straits to Taylor Swift. If its a good
song, Ill listen to it. About the only thing I dont listen to is
dance music, or repetitive lyrics.

Cheers, Mike.
I firmly believe you can tell a lot about someone by the sort of
music they listen to.
