There needs to be a "Didn't know it existed and don't care"
option. Whether I can get an up, down, or sideways vote has no
bearing on how I post on this or any other forum.

Personally I like the option to click "Like" for a post that I
agree with. On other forums I've been on it eliminates the
"ditto", "me too" posts. Don't like the "Direct Hit! That One
Bounced OFF" as it doesn't really mark the post, but the one
posting it.
New people may totally disregard very valid information, by
assuming that the +/- on the poster indicates their amount of
knowledge.

I would like to see a "Like" option for the individual post or
nothing at all. My two cents :coin:

I am very entertained by the down voting. Its just like
kindergaten again.......I cant say anything hurtful on the forum
other wise I will get a nasty email or god forbid tarnish my
saintly persona.. so instead of dealing with you like an adult
face to face I am going to anonymously down vote you. so
there........
3really at 40 or so that is the best you can do.
Yep that is certainly acting our age.
Oh btw I am pretty sure most of the votes are from one person,
as they are increase at about 2 or 3 an hour, which I think is
the max you can neg in this software........guesses anyone

I am truly curious...exactly who is it that you think is giving
you all these neg votes?
Thank you, oxi, for putting up a poll to get feedback from the
membership on how they feel about the question evs posed.
As for my opinion on the matter, I am OK with it. To me, it
allows people to agree or disagree with another persons
statement without either cluttering a thread with yay or nay
posts, and also give people the ability to do so without getting
into a verbal pissing contest with another or feeling
intimidated by them.
But that is my personal "speaking as a member only" viewpoint on
the matter. Whether is stays or goes does not affect me either
way.
(and thats ok, evs..right after you put up your post last night,
i went down 5 rep...surprising since it was only you, me and nah
on at the same time.....hmmmnnn...)

Ya know cheesie, I have tried really hard to stay out of most
things here and only offer explination and occasional advice
(which has been bad a couple times) but I'm here to say
something now...
The reason you are getting neg voted (though not by me nor by
who you think it is) is because you come across as a fucking
asshole. I do not know you, nor did I have much of a chance to
pltoon with you before my sabatical. But your posts in this
forum have quite a few members that read your posts feeling the
same way I do. I have gotten numerous pms and xbl messages about
this. I keep telling everyone that you can be a bit abrasive,
but you are more or less a good guy.
I am sorry that people are reading so much into the karma system
(including you). It was the closest thing to the old like
system that was available.
