I am trying to understand your point of view. I just can't put
a neg vote together with bullying... If anyone's ego is fragile
enough to be intimidated by a neg vote. I think there are other
problems that would be better dealt with by a professional in
the medical field. Not to demean any who seek professional help,
to the contrary, Kudos to them/us!
Come on! Is this O.F.F. or kindergarten? BOO HOO, someone
doesn't like me!
Like I said, I am trying to see your point, but I just can't
grasp it... "Slap my face an' roll me in the mud"; I guess I'm
dense enough to not get it...
I just voted "that one bounced" on your status, see no bullying,
I just don't think you were a "direct hit"... Just my opinion,
not a cross word or threat of physical or psychological
intimidation from my part... If you perceive that as a
threat... It is your perception that is the problem...
Those are my thoughts...

I take it then that when you see somebody singled out for
whatever reason and in the case of a negative vote, is not a
type of bullying, then thats is your choice.
As for the negative vote you gave me, least you was honest
enough to admit it, it doesn't bother me one bit if i'm negative
or positive .. the discussion here is if it is a benefit to the
group and i've stated no.
for the record, i deal with with groups of suicidal and highly
depressed individuals, ( who are often bullied or have been
bullied ) has a volunteer so am aware that people do take things
personally , even if we as individuals think our actions are
insignificant

I thought it was a constructive, anonymous, and passive way of
agreeing or disagreeing with someone. I think it keeps arguments
and trolling from happening. There is no repercussions for
having -90 votes so does it really matter. I will continue to
use this system until it is put to a vote and removed or
shut-off. A lot of times I will go 1 step further and actually
comment with"Direct Hit, Captain!!!" We are all allowed to agree
or disagree without arguing or explaining why. However u can
always ask me and I will tell you. If I were to make
inflammatory remarks in a large group like this and offend or
argue/disagree with several people I would expect to see my +/-
rating suffer. That being said it wouldn't keep me up at night
either. It would just show not everyone agrees with me. They
have a word for that.
It's called LIFE.

See, that is my whole premise in your first sentence, "singled
out for whatever reason". No, someone posted something on a
forum... They put their thoughts out to the public/forum...
Forum members decide... Hit or Bounce... How is that even
close to an attack on the posters ego???

I think you missed the point with the suicidal statement, i'm
pretty sure that a bounce vote wouldn't drive somebody to that
extreme !!
The statement was around my volunteer work and that what we see
as a nothing action, others in a more fragile state might not ..
it's what i have experienced during my sessions i have had with
them. But least i can understand why you might have
misunderstood the comment.
maybe a way forward then would be a compromise on the ability to
bounce or not .. say a limit you can bounce per day or increase
the time limit.
we're not going to agree on everything, although i won't bounce
you this time ;-) .. but we can agree on killing reds, not an
issue with that!!

Bullying?
I'm not sure how someone can bully me by disagreeing with what
I say.

I really have nothing to add but I'm just going to say I agree
with Phunk and the others who agree with Phunk and go ahead and
make this thread alot more cluttered and harder to navigate to
the point where no one will probably even read it all including
this post. /Sarcasm.
