As i cannot access forum i have asked Craig to post this on my
behalf..... i have heard and read of the recent drama on OFF
boards and would like to clarify things.
I was unfairly removed from the clan on the basis of a rumour
regarding my affiliation with The Iron Horseman.. we never had
any rules in place stating that members are forbidden from using
other clans forums, Craig had been a member of IHM forum ( but
not the clan ) for over 4 months and it was never an issue then,
so i signed up to keep in touch and maybe arrange some friendly
battles using the new platoon system.
Yes i was very upset that i had been kicked from my own clan ,
the same clan that i stuck with even after many of my friends
split and formed The Iron Horseman. Nevertheless i still wanted
to be in this clan and regularly posted on forum and having a
laugh with the current crop of members even those i had never
met ingame or knew me.
I took a break a while back as i was burnt out on tanks even
giving up the BoD title which i never really needed , but i
still posted on forum keeping in touch with you all. Not sure
why you were told i left and came back as you clearly know i was
active on forum during that time. ( i even used the same name
for my Destiny clan to fly the flag ).
i would have liked robert or acid to have contacted me as soon
as they realised their mistake.. i had to wait till yesterday to
get a personal message from acid ... you say you couldnt contact
me yet you have been on XBL when i have been on , a simple
private party would have saved a lot of stupid hassle rumor and
heartache. it would have meant more to me than a public apology.
( Afterall we have never had a problem or argument/disagreement
and thought we were friends ).
Old farts and fogies IS a great concept and hopefully will
continue to provide a place where wrinkled gamers can come and
meet likeminded friends , i however feel the clan has evolved
too fast too soon and after being kicked i dont have the desire
to return now.
I will on cheesie's behalf say i vented ( yes even stress free
Tinkerbeast gets angry ) during a party on what OFF was and why
it was formed ( cheesie your great player plus a valuable asset
to OFF sorry i dragged you into this ). Having read GOD and
Oxi's replies they raise good points which were lost on me
during my forced exile.
OFF is not the same clan that was first formed and requires more
rules/regulations to control and organise the increased
membership.. having said that members should not really need
controlling seeing as this was a clan for oldies who just wanted
to game together for fun
I believe i was originally right to suggest stopping the mass
recruiting as you have a lot of members that are innactive or
struggling to get parties and have their say.
P.S the in game concept founders were Coffeehawk00 ,
GODFATHER1965 , Myself , xll evs llx , quadrider101 ,roberthred
, oxidative stres, and oldand decrepid .. the T29 band of
brothers.. and a special mention to roberthred who provided the
forum for us.
Shout out to those that helped make it stronger during the early
days of beta inc slackermedic , II GETTY Il,DRUNKENMcPLOWED
,armormeerkat (who was shootmepleaze),owningtulip117 and
AntacidObject66 ( who did a lot of the forum horsework and
rightly deserves the recognition )
The slipper and wrench emblem was my idea..
Anyway i now officially consider the matter closed..

I for one am happy to be seeing this issue put to bed... I hope

Tinkabeast is gone and not coming back. I am sorry to say that
this does not close the issue. The issue is there and staring us
all in the face. Watch your back.

I am sorry. I do not want trouble or drama. I want to be able to
play this game and be a part of an organization like OFF that
won't kick good people on a whim. I am very dissatisfied with
how this situation with Tink came about and honestly I do not
know what will resolve it for me.

Please feel free to address your concerns to a Staff or BoD
member of your choice via PM. They will be happy to discuss any
issue with you.
As this was an address to the membership by Tink, and as he
states, he now officially considers the matter closed, I will be
locking this thread. It will remain on the General Boards for
all members to read. Nothing is being hidden or swept under the
carpet.
Again, if you have any issues regarding anything, please contact
a staff member to discuss.

It wasn't a whim, it was a mistake and we learn from them so we
don't make them again and then we move on
