Member Rights, Member Responsibilities and Clan Rules

Below is the revised "Member Rights, Member Responsibilities and
Clan Rules[/b].” We have made some minor tweaks based on your
comments, as well as adding in a Due Process section. I would
like to thank Slackermedic for playing a key role in this part
of the process. He was kind enough to draft this section.
Thanks Again for your constructive comments and help in moving
this group forward. This policy will be going into effect
immediately and I will post a pdf version of this in the
Downloads section.
[b]MEMBER RIGHTS
1.
This includes, but is not limited to, participation in clan
events, and the use of the Message Boards and Website Forums.
2.
ideas on the forums and in-game. It is expected that you express
these concerns and ideas in a constructive fashion.

when said information has been requested to remain private. The
Leadership is obliged to answer all questions truthfully.

respect. You are bound to treat others, in and outside the clan,

poll on the General Board in the forums. If at least 40% of the
membership votes, and 70% or more are in favor, the amendment
will be passed on to the Leadership for implementation. Poll
length is to be set at five (5) days. If it is not passed, it is
not allowed to be re-posted for six (6) months, pending
Leadership approval.
MEMBER BEHAVIOR STANDARDS
1.

players, chat channels or do anything that reflects negatively
upon our clan's reputation.

life, will not be tolerated. Immediate and direct action will be
taken against those that violate this policy.

joke. However, cruel comments or harassment towards another
player will not be tolerated. This will be punishable by either

it is the belief of that clan that we conduct ourselves as such.

[b]RECRUITING and RECOMMENDING NEW MEMBERS
All members are welcome to refer or recommend players to OFF.
Understand that when doing so, you and they are representing us,
and any recruits you refer or recommend should be a good fit for
the group, based on the ideals set forth in our Mission
Statement.
BASIC CLAN REGULATIONS

designated as "Member". All Members have access to all General

quarterly (Sept. 1, Dec. 1, Mar 1 and June 1). Promotions are
based on forum participation, game participation/platooning,
time served, and many other factors. Do not fret if you do not
see you name on the promotion list. It will be soon with time
and participation.

a registered member of another clan that you promptly advise a
Staff Member of your status within their group (whether forum
browser or an actual clan member) and your intentions regarding
your membership within OFF. All members are, and always will
be, free to platoon and play with whomever they choose. However,
if it is discovered that you are registered with another
clan/group, and have not advised a Staff or Board Member, it
will be considered grounds for suspension of your profile until
such time as you can be contacted and your status confirmed.
***Players that have issues with these rules, or who break these
rules, will be dealt with openly by a group of Staff and/or
Board Members. There are no dictators here. ALL issues that
require voting will have at least 7 (seven) people involved. We
will work with you to find the root cause of the issue and then
deal with it appropriately at the discretion of OFF Staff.
***Repeated warning/violations of these rules may be cause for
cancellation of your membership in OFF. Please see a Staff or
Board Member via PM with any concerns.

Looks good. One comment on this one:
2. Regularly visit and read these forums boards, or at least
the key threads in the important boards. This will keep you
up-to-date on our activities, and is an ideal info sharing tool.
It's in the regulations and feels more like a guideline type
thing to me. Regularly is a bit ambiguous. Not everyone is
active in the forums and people could get activity info and
other announcement type info while platooning as the big stuff
tends to be discussed while waiting to get into games (we have
lots of 5 minute waits now with the 7's :sad:). So they may not
need to visit the forums that much.
Just a thought.

Can you also post the regulations to which the board members
must follow, so that we can have fully disclosure on all rules.
I refer to the internal processes adopted for example, voting on
disciplining a member etc

Evs, here it is.
***Players that have issues with these rules, or who break these

Board Members. There are no dictators here. ALL issues that
require voting will have at least 7 (seven) people involved. We
will work with you to find the root cause of the issue and then
deal with it appropriately at the discretion of OFF Staff.

Looks good... just 1 thing, rule #1... does this also mean ALL
members will have full access to the boards... I know Jr members
don't gave access to certain parts of the forum... and of course
restricting access on the supertester portion based on NDA.
Other than that you guys did a good job.

There are a couple of things we are working on related to this.

Looks good. Is this going to be posted in a new recruit folder
and be mandatory agreement before allowing any form of
membership? If you want this in a form fillable pdf that states
by typing your name and dating it you agree to the terms and
conditions set forth in this document and you can send it in an
email, let me know and you'll have it in about 10 minutes.

The only question I would have relates to the 40% 70% voting
change rule. Do 40% of the clan visit regularly ?
I think that should be addressed anyway. A members required
activity level on the site should be made clear, even if it only
twice a month. Being in a clan is not just getting a big FR
list and platooning.
The 70% seems a little steep, maybe 60% , that's how I feel,
others will no doubt feel differently.
