VK 30.01 and VK36.01 Heavies???

I think it was Black51x who mentioned this yesterday, the VK
36.01 and Vk 30.01 are now both heavies. Looking at the
Tankopedia, I see that he is correct. Never noticed this in game
so far. Maybe it was because I wasn't looking for it.
I haven't run the VK30 yet but the VK36 was the hands down best
Tier VI medium IMHO... Now knowing what I think means about jack
squat to WOT, but Damn I'm not all that sure I like it being a
heavy :pissed:. Dammit I'm a heavy tank lover :palm:

Just sold my elited VK36 in protest.
Actually I traded it in for a Tiger. I figured that if they're
going to ruin it, I may as well move on.

It is already showing in the Tankopedia section of WOT as boith
the VK30 and 36 are now heavies... a VK30 a HEAVY!!

Ignore p[art of the above as the 36 is going to a heavy, and the
30 down to a Tier V...
I just picked this up from the WOT Forum, it has apparently been
released by WOT...so.... if you have a VK30 read one

Because of these changes the following measures are in place for
players affected:
If a player has researched the VK 30.01(H), the VK 30.02 (M)
will be researched.
If a player has a VK 30.01 (H), a VK 30.02 (M) will be added to
their garage with a slot and a crew with 100% skill for free.
Mounted equipment will not be added to the VK 30.02 (M). Those
items will remain with the VK 30.01 (H). Any ammunition loaded
on the VK 30.01 (H) will be refunded and replaced with stock
ammo.
If the user has the VK 30.01 (H) unlocked, then we automatically
research all packages 0 through 5 (the necessary packages
leading up to the VK 30.02 (M)). Packages will not be
automatically unlocked on the VK 30.02 (M) – although the prices
may be lower due to previous research of sub-modules.
If a player has camouflage on the VK 30.01 (H) it will be copied
over to the VK 30.02 (M). Emblems or inscriptions mounted on
their VK 30.01 (H) will be refunded for the gold and/or silver.
These can be repurchased if desired.
All unspent experience from the VK 30.01(H) will be transferred
to VK 30.02 (M).
Vehicle statistics will not be transferred from the VK 30.01 (H)
to the VK 30.02 (M).

Does that mean it's worth my while to buy back The VK30 I had so
that I'll get the .02 + free garage slot and crew?
I can then sell the .02 once everything is unlocked and walk
away with a free slot, saving 300 gold.

Yes, it is my understanding that if you have a VK 30.01 in your
garage at the time of the update on July 8, then you will indeed
receive the VK 30.02 medium will be added to your garage
automatically.

Yeah my VK36 is my favourite medium as well. I loved (still do)
the Panzer IV but the VK worked it's way into my heart. Not sure
what the whole heavy designation is though. Does this mean they
will put more armour on it and less of a gun and engine? I mean
if it's the same tank who cares what they call it?
Thankfully today after a whole bunch of friendly Off-ers played
tier VI with me I got close to the Tiger. Then my boys were
playing and when they finished I decided to have one more run
for the day in the VK and narrowly missed out on Top Gun (5
kills and one shot from a sixth when we captured the base). But
the end result was 6900XP and an unlocked Tiger :shades:
I was going to keep the VK but now maybe I'll move the crew up.
