       The triumph of the TOGII
   DIR By: ta2dflip
       Date: August 21, 2014, 9:51 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Setting: Mountain Pass, snow, encounter battle.
I spawned into place like any other normal day of tanking,
only this time is the first run in my TOGII. We spawn at the top
of the ridge and I head to the bridge as the call comes out
"they're breaking through at the bridge". I don't expect to live
long at this point and we all know that the TOGII is very slow,
so no running now. I'm following an AT-8 into certain death and
just as we get to the two rocks an M4A3E2 comes around the
corner. I take steady aim...FIRE...tracked him. I move in to
finish him off and I notice the AT-8 moving in as well. Just as
I pull the trigger to get the death blow and the M4A3E2 goes up
like the fourth of July, the AT-8 gets between us as if he was
going to save him. I back up and go to move around the AT and he
blocks me, every direction I try to go, he blocks me..."great, a
troll" I think to myself. I back up and turn around and head for
the cap zone and see another tank, I lock in on him and fire,
direct hit and he goes up in flames and then I see the AT head
for our spawn and he disappears..."really weird guy" is what I'm
thinking. Just then, both artys pop up on the mini-map, one is
in the cap and the other is on his way. I get there as fast as I
can, just as I crest the hill BAAAMMMM I get a hit from the
arty, but not too bad, I return fire...nailed him! Before he can
fire again, I shoot...KAAABLOOWWIEEEE!!! Then the other arty
comes around the base of the bridge only to run into one of my
rounds..."he's almost dead"... then someone yells out over my
headset... Wolverine behind you TOG, I'm sorry but he is going
to kill you. I don't bother turning the TOG, just the turret and
he is right there, no cover, I lock onto the cocky S.O.B. and
fire, nailing him for half his life. Then someone says, what's
that AT-8 doing, "great, the troll is back and is giving cover
to the arty as he moves in to kill me". I quickly fire the last
round into the Wolverine and toast his sorry behind and whip
around and blast the last round into the only part of the arty I
can light up...BOOOM! he's gone too. 4 comfirmed kills, first
run, and we win to get the multiplier all equals one happy Flip.

Your love affair with the steel beast has begun. I have only two
British tanks, the TOG and the Matilda. I switch the crew back
and forth and have built up a nice crew. Good times. Be sure to
visit the WoT forum thread where you can register the name of
your TOGII. Mine is HMS Fury. Here is the link:

Being a British connoisseur I love my TOG II. I had a seven kill
match in it yesterday and its great for training my crews

Ummm...I see the opportunity for a TOGII training platoon here.
Aside from the fun factor, TOGII would help new players build up
their silver supplies for moving up the food chain. If a set of
TOGII strategies were worked out for each map/situation we could
       really clean up.

Actually, a Matilda/TOGII contingent. Build up Matilda crews and
       enhance TOGII performance.

The key to a good TOG platoon is having a spotter or two who can
run ahead and find where the OpFor is. Much easier to get into
       position that way.
