Is was gonna pm rev about this but think it is better served as
       an open discussion
So who would make a good trainer and what do we think is
important for the new members to know?
       The who
One tank of every tier in the garage.......makes it easier to
       run with anybody....
Senior member of the clan and possibly a staff member
Experienced in most types tiers and country's tanks
       Pateince
The time to devote a couple of hours a week to training
       What should be taught
Xbox navigation......how to join a party....send invites to
       party and game.......Xbox messaging.....friends list
       management...
Wot controls and option screens.....various controller config
options........discussion of the tank upgrade screens and tank
       tree if needed.
       Then game play.......
Of course this is completely hypothetical and as the new member
       needs
But if I had a dollar for every time I hear I played for 6
months and didn't know you could do thato

When the time comes I enjoy helping out to welcome and show
people the ropes. Training is fine with me. If you take the
time to check my stats on wot leader boards you will see a vast
array of all tiers and classes played. While not nearly in as
many matches as some, I had 1600 in beta and currently a little
       over 4000 now.
There will definitely be a different approach taken in game play
towards helping/training vs "hey let's with this match". Not
that I don't want to win but more focus on the person rolling
       with you.
I have messaged cheesie earlier prior to this thread being
posted and sure all suggestions/thoughts will be taken into
account and discussed by our fine BOD's and members.
Follow up. Wouldn't mind any advice from others for myself from
time to time. I'm not Mr. #1 global stats but good and always
welcome room for improvement. ( Advice given varies upon amount
of beer/rum/whiskey consumed on that particular night) :hiding:
       :sceptic:

To me, most of what you described would be the job of the new
       member "greeter".
A trainer is a totaly different animal. We need trainers right
now more than anything. The trainers would come from the best
tankers we have and would have to be willing to give
constructive critasizm to people who are open to it and want to
       improve their game.
I could be a "greeter" but am not a good enough tanker to be a
       trainer.

This doesnt have anything to do with being a good tanker.
This has everything to do with understanding how the xbox works
and the various game functions within wot and being empathic and
       understanding new members

       Cheesie!
Ya Mon! We are on the right track!!! :shades:
I think the issue can be solved by, collectively, coming up a
lesson plan that goes from 1-10...
We break it up into tiers...1-3,4-6,7-10...
The basics is where, in my experience, we will need the most
       number of personel...
Then the "Grad Schoolers" and "Competive Players" are reffered
to our specialists for "Super In Game, Butt Kickin Class'"
I suggest all lesson plans have to be BOD approved.
       As for criteria...
       1. Not a tool...
       2. Laughter is required.
       3. Volunteered and is not a tool... :shades:

       Relax sparky
I wasnt putting anyone in their place ,nothing of the sort...
I think craig would be one helluva a greeter/trainer.
First and foremost you need to be a people person
We have some really good tankers who are and can be complete
jackasses, myself probably top of the list.
Tanking strategies is fairly far down thenlist of immediate
       needs
First understand hhow your xbox works
Understand how world of tanks works
Then platoon etiquette, dos or best practices.
Again I am just another member tossing up ideas.......I have no
say about what actually happens or how or if it is implimented

Very relaxed. No offense taken whatsoever. Apologize if it
didn't come across well in text. All is good and well :)
