He did not sell his comet as was previously believed. He did in
fact scrap it and melt it down. So in the end it did make him
money.

I attempted to melt it down but it had burned to a crisp so many
times that all that was left was ash.

Forgive me for the NOOB that I am, but what's Shard77's problem
with the Comet? I haven't been around long enough to know the
story, and I'm sure there are some FNG's who are wondering the
same thing.
