Old Farts and Fogies clan event!

[center]Old Farts and Fogies, the clan that brought you such
events as Batman and Robin, TOG Tuesday and Wallet Warrior
Wednesday, has a new event up it's sleeve. So, without further
ado, [/center]
[center]OFF PROUDLY PRESENTS A RE-ENACTMENT OF THE GERMAN
INVASION OF POLAND![/center]

September 1 will be the 80th anniversary of the invasion that
started World War Two. In order to commemorate this solemn
event, we will be running a series of battles across four maps:
1. Caen encounter representing the Polish border
2. Heilbronn encounter representing the Polish interior
3. Ensk encounter representing the outskirts of Warsaw
4. Berlin assault (Poles defending) representing Warsaw proper
To represent German blitzkrieg tactics, the German team must
capture Warsaw within 6 battles, otherwise the Poles have held
out long enough for the British and French to mobilize. (Germans
win if Warsaw is captured within 6 battles; otherwise Poles
win.)
Both sides start with Tier II tanks.
If the Poles win a battle, the map is replayed. However, the
Germans may swap out 10% of their force for Tier III tanks to
represent reinforcements and better equipment. (Less than 10
combatants per side, 1 Tier III; more than 10, 2 Tier IIIs)

The event will be held on September 1 at 9pm eastern. If you are

Teams will be evenly balanced, with the competition players,
experienced players, less experienced players in similar numbers
on each side.
Guderian (Jake) who is the mastermind behind this event had very
generously donated a whole bunch of cash which will be converted
to MS points for the participating players. Details on how this
will be divvied up to come.
I or one of the BOD will run the room.

One question.. if I'm a Pole I can still jump in a stolen
panzer, yes?
I tried that TKS z n.k.m. 20mm last night and got murderlized.
Saw one of those little Polish devils the other day when I was
rollin' the Blitzen and the little mother was a tough nut to
crack when it sneaks up alongside of you.
about 45 seconds I grappled with it and the match ended with
that Red still kickin'
pushed him up against a hill...that was the only way I could get
any rounds on him...and the angle caused mostly deflections
Gotta kill that thing while it's at a distance.

Sure, I’ll be Polish... put a uniform on me and drape my dead
carcass over some dumb radio station. The old days were
extraordinarily Tacky.
I much prefer satellite pics of warehouses and duping a beloved
General into pointing out where WMD’s are hiding - much less
messy, wot ?

sufficient free time until I return to paradise in September.

Successfully used the Polish TKS last night
Ol’ Steampunk was in a Locust and came after me like a thing
possessed
Smacked him up with prammo and killed his driver
Greenies finished him off for me
GOOD FREAKING TIMES !!
