OOOPSS the link points to the create a WOT account. Am I missing
something? I guess I should not as the question that way as it
opens up many comments but what the heck go for it as I am
missing a lot.

There's a bug in the link. If you go to the news section on the
WOT console web page you will see it. I'll fix the link when I
get home from work.
Since we have two distinct clan tags, both -OFF- and OFF can
participate. As I have an alt in charge of OFF, I can handle the
tactical portion of the contest. However for the battle portion,
we will need our OFFers in OFF to hash out the team lineup who
will be fighting to secure/defend territory.
If anyone is interested in participating in this new mode of
gameplay, let's get on the stick. Registration starts 2/24, and
the Global War starts 2/25. Every participant should familiarize
themselves with the rules. With one million gold at stake, looks
to be something fun.

based on territory.

I found the WOT announcement and read the rules. I need to read
them again as I got a bit lost (old age is not what it is
cracked up to be). Some contest require a minimum of players to
participate, and start times are based on UTC or Greenwich Mean
Time (GMT) which should challenge all clans to get everyone
together across the big round ball at the correct local time. I
am in for the sport and will be a loyal soldier but not a pack
leader - I have exhausted all my ego related to decision making
for others.

Yes the times can be challenging. Seems we have two windows
here. One at 9 PM Eastern, the other at Midnight Eastern. Seeing
as how most of us East Coasters are either in bed, going to bed,
or (like me) fallen asleep in front of the TV, it might be
challenging to field a team playing at that time. But who knows?
As far as leading the tankers into battle, someone in [OFF]
that is willing to take the lead on this is fine by me. I can
help with behind the scenes stuff.
And since this was cooked up by Wargaming Moscow, they are the
ones setting the times. :(
