Black Tanks - The Return

Greetings Tankers!
We’re here today to talk about seven of the most legendary tanks
in World of Tanks: Mercenaries - the Black Edition Tanks.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Black Edition
tanks, let’s recap quickly. Way back in November of 2016, we
released seven Black Edition Tanks to commemorate 100 Years of
Tanks. Check them out in game on the Premium Tech Tree or on the
Tankopedia at the following locations:
FV201 (A45) Black Edition
STA-2 Black Edition
Löwe Black Edition
T-34-3 Black Edition
T34 Black Edition
IS-6 Black Edition
AMX CDC Black Edition
When we released these tanks back in 2016, it was stated they’d
never be available again. Since then, we’ve been consistently
fielding requests from players asking us to bring them back -
from our forums and private messages, to our social media
channels, live streams and customer support tickets. Players who
have never had the chance to own these legendary machines have
been letting us know.
With the upcoming celebration of our 5th anniversary of World of
Tanks on consoles, we’ve decided it is time. Millions of players
have joined our community in the more than 2 years since the
release of the Black Edition tanks. Many of these players are
collectors looking to complete their collections, or who want to
enjoy the XP bonuses granted by the Black Edition tanks, or to
simply field awesome looking tanks (we’re quite partial to the
aesthetic of these tanks ourselves). Our players have been
clamoring for a chance to own these tanks - we want everyone to
enjoy their time in World of Tanks and if we can accomplish that
by making the Black Edition tanks available once again, we think
that’s the right thing to do and our 5th anniversary is the
right time to do it.
So, how will this work? Well, we’ve recently introduced the
Trade In program, a feature that allows players to trade in
premium tanks from their garage and apply a portion of that
value towards a new tank. We’ve run a couple tests with it now
and have been happy with the performance, so we’ve decided to
make the Black Edition tanks available through this system – we
felt this helps make the tanks available to as many of our
community members as possible in the fairest way possible. We’ve
also heard your feedback in wanting more tanks available for
trade in, so nearly every tank (exceptions exist, such as free
giveaway tank including Anniversary and Tanksmas tanks, etc.)
can be used to trade in towards the Black Edition(s) of your
choice!
We also understand that the Black Edition tanks up until now
have been more than just a tank, they’ve been a symbol for
players who have owned them since their release. We don’t want
to take this away from players, so we are granting an exclusive
‘Legacy’ emblem to tankers who own the Black Edition tanks from
back when they were originally released in 2016 (you’ll get an
emblem for every Black Edition tank you own). This is both a
small token of our appreciation (we know we can never adequately
express our gratitude to those of you who’ve been with us since
the beginning and have supported us all the way) and a way for
you to continue to show off that you were one of the first to
own these legendary tanks.
We want to thank our community for all of their support and
loyalty! We are excited for you to see all of the exciting
content coming throughout 2019 and are looking forwards to many
more great years of tanking with you!

Yeah instead of taking it off Guderian, they left it on. That
has ticked off the OG buyers of the Blacks, along with the
Blacks being resold.
To placate the OG purchasers, they are giving them a special
emblem. Exactly the same crap they did to us OG Founder's packs
owners.

I'm going to trade in a few of my old premiums I don't run to
get a couple. Considering how ugly some of these reskins are, I
don't mind the 100 on there anymore. Makes better silver. :)

Guderian,
What are you doing to look at the barrel? Or even the side, who
cares it is a great experience and silver earner, the visual is
someone else’s problem.
Next time we plantoon I’ll bring out the GUP and circle you the
entire time, how about that for an offensive looking tank!!!!

I remember when you bought the Löwe Black (on sale) and I bought
the regular Löwe like a week later for nearly the same Gold.

is there a difference in the silver making between the standard
t34 and the black version? I'm not seeing it on the tankopedia.
Would like to know before i trade in the standard one for the
black one.
