Joe is saying that if you've already completed the January Alpha
Winter Games Op, your 10 Mech points will be wasted, as there is
no current running Op for them to be credited to. If you wait
until Friday when February Alpha Winter Games begin, those
points will count towards February's Alpha Winter Games.

Sorry I'm a graduate of the Stephen King school of TL;DR
writing. But hey, at least I didn't spend five pages detailing
