New Persistant Platoons

Here's how the various settings in the new system works per WG.
Your platoon privacy setting should be saved across multiple
logins and play sessions.
Meaning, if you set it to closed when you first enter the game
then it will stay like that.
If it does not save please post in the bug reports so we can
address that.
As far as the number of artys within a platoon goes we are
testing if 3 will produce better matchmaking for platoons and
will be keeping an eye on how it performs. If we find that it
needs to be adjusted to 1 then we will investigate the possible
outcomes.
As far as having trolls not join your game, it's as simple as
setting your privacy when you setup the platoon. Check the
settings below for the right restrictions.
Public
Anybody can join/find the platoon from the platform UI without
an invitation required from a friend
Private
Hosts and invited members can invite people from the friend
list. Only players with an invitation can join
Closed
Only Host can invite people. Only players with an invitation
from the host can join

Hello Joe, whaddaya know?
I went on last night and I know I’m dumb but could not see any
way to change platoon settings
Do I actually have to be in a game to access this or what?
Every time I go into platoon-screen, it just asks who I want to
invite...no way to change platoon to ‘private’

I think you need to go to the options screen, once in game? I
read something about it on the main forum yesterday.
Something to note - found this out the hard way - is that when
the platoon leader selects a PMM tank - it's PMM status is not
view-able by other platoon members, nor is it recognized as PMM
by the game! For one battle, I selected the Val II, which is PMM
to Tier IV only. Other platoon members brought a Luchs, a T-28,
and I can't recall the 4th tank (it was a tech tree Tier IV TD).
Game automatically switched to +/-2 MM, which basically made us
a fail platoon in an all Tier V/VI match on Mines; we were the
only Tier IVs.
Guessing that if we all had selected PMM tanks, it would have
been ok, but the game let the other platoon members select
non-PMM tanks, and threw us in as the lowest tier.
