Friendly Warning About Efficiency Ratings ...

I would like to chime in with this whole Efficiency craze
everyone is talking about lately.
There are actually two WARNINGS i would like to stress about
this ...
1) DONT TAKE YOUR EFF. RATING TOO SERIOUS !! - do not let your
eff. rating effect your fun level. yes its good to be helpful
toward the wins , but there are times you just want to hang out
at low levels and mess around for fun and try new tactics.
2) DO NOT USE THIS AS A TOOL TO JUDGE !!! - this goes for
yourself and others . After playing World of Warcraft for 8
years and Call of Duty for even more ,and being in serious
clans in both , i have seen these type of tools breed "elitism"
at its worst ! This is a great clan that i have become very fond
of , yet i can already hear elitism raising its ugly head from
time to time.
Bottom line , we are all old enough that we should be well
beyond horn-tooting and one-upmanship and with the sudden surge
of people keeping tabs of their new eff. rating and talking
about them , i felt i should say a little something about this.
Elitism WILL tear a clan apart !!! I have seen it 1st hand. Lets
please not let this happen here.
As with any other tool , the stats in this one can easily be
manipulated by playing one class , or one tier and nothing else.
So , until they make a FUN-METER to judge our enjoyment , please
, do not take this ratings stuff to seriously. I know i dont !!!

Good advice Warsteiner. I don't see a whole lot of change
coming to our clan, however it's a good idea to be aware of it.

Warsteiner I want to take what you say seriously but I do not
know what your EFF is so how can I?
Just kidding....great post and good point. I go through phases
where my win rate, or some other stat pisses me off, then I slap
myself and let go of it....and boom...back to having fun!
Until I am surrounded by 7 guys because my team sucked Azz....

It was designed to show your overall effectiveness not just k/d
ratio which most games focus on... there are high ranked players
who average tier is 3-4 so it's not about what you play but how
you play.
If your happy with your performance then stick with it..
p.s this clan has never been elitist and stats will never tear
us apart.. we celebrate being old gamers good or bad.

Warstiener - Awesome post to put things in perspective. I see
it as a Tool like the WoT stats page, not necessarily to judge,
but to objectively assess my progress.
Types of Tanks and Tiers greatly affect efficiency. Light and
Medium tanks are not as well represented by the stats due to the
things that go into that part of the game.
I'll bring the everclear the next time we platoon :beer:
