New Tournament Proposal

Judging interest in another tournament, OFF's Top Ten.
3 v 3 seemed to be enough fun that I'm thinking of running
another tournament. This one well be different in that it'll be
a 1 v 1 with rules in place that protect those who don't have
tanks of all tiers unlocked. Rules are as follows:
Format: This is a 1 v 1 tournament and the number of players
determines how many games are to be played. In the end the top
ten percent appear as the winners. Players would play a set
number of games to help rank them into brackets of liked skill
players. Both the number of bracket rankings wins, the players
WN8 and the players win percentage would be used to do this.
Once the brackets are completed a single elimination tournament
would start. We would allow a “call out” period so participants
can challenge one another within their respective brackets. If
both agree to the call out they would be matched. Players with
no call outs would be matched by random draw.
Maps well be assigned to tiers, an example would be if you draw
tier 2 you’d play Providence and Port, if you draw tier 3 you
play maps assigned to that tier. The tier/map assignments would
not change during the tournament unless an update takes a map
out. All games are Encounter mode, 10 minute time limit.
Each match is best of three this time. That should allow for
quicker matches and be less expensive on everyone. Each match
one player is assigned as Home, the other as Visitor. Room
setup is assigned to the Home players but if someone does not
wish to do it they can either have another do it for them or
allow whoever they are matched against to do it. The Home
player gets spawn choice.
In the event that neither tank is destroyed nor the flag is
captured the winner is the one who did the most damage to his
opponent. If there was no damage done or an equal amount, the
game is a draw and gets replayed.
Fog Of War is required.
Tanks: All tanks would be allowed with the exception of tier 5
and above, no light tank autoloaders. This allows lower tiers
to be wide open and upper tiers to not become a French light
tank-fest. All other classes of tanks tier 5 and above can be
run.
Tank Tiers: 2-10, to be decided by a random draw prior to each
match. In the event a player does not have any tanks at the
tier drawn we would redraw until a tier they do have is picked.

Interested I am - fun it should be - sign me up as a wanna be.
Perhaps a modification to the tier rule - A player may choose to
play one tier lower than the one selected.

What? The satisfaction of not pitting your skill against your
fellow OFFers not enough?
Very well, for all participants we will be giving out a limited
edition autographed photo of our premiere comp light tank
driver. This is such a stunning prize that we might need to thow
in a pair of welder's goggles, as it is so dazzling.
In addition I will donate to the prize pool a game code for one
copy of the Fortnite Standard Edition.
