One of the kids plays it on my old 360, I updated it yesterday
for him and was having same issues. Not checked it since though.
Not the best response from WOT to a problem on the 360

The experts here, what do you think of the stats on the
mercenaries tanks. Are they better than other ones, which is the
best?

:hitself: :hitself: :hitself:
Now I have a real headache. I will need a spread sheet to keep
track of the 8 ops, which one I am on and the specific tanks I
need to accomplish the task for a free tank I have no idea how
it will or will not help me in the game. I was going to jump in
on the "Needle" to see how it works but the massive migraine I
got stopped me in my tracks. I will let those with more patience
and experience jump in the pool and give a report on how it
works and how long it takes to get a free tank.

Sundanss,
I've gotten some of the lower-tier Mercenary tanks. My
impressions:
Needle - Appears to be tier limited!! Excellent little tier 4
heavy overall. Faster then a Matilda; appears to have the hull
of a Mini Maus, the Tier II german tank!! When top tier, only
need prem rounds against matilda, maybe sentinal. Against tier
5, still not terrible, but will need much more prem rounds for
any churchill variants you encounter, as well as the KV's, and
even then, safest to snipe weak-spots. Armor on this tank is
excellent when top tier, I only feared the Matilda, and a few
tank destroyers. Decent money maker; if you get nine-plus
pens, even if you shot some premium, you'll make some money; if
you can get nine pens, using no premium, you'll clear 25-30k
silver (if you run a premium account). At least that's how I'm
remembering it... ;)
Stubbs - Fantastic little scout. Chaffee hull, with what
appears to be a Wolverine turret. British Derp for the gun,
only its _not_ the standard British Derp. The standard British
Derp has such low shell velocity, you can almost outrun it, and
leading a side-to-side-moving-tank is nearly impossible. _This_
tank's derp is kinda amazing: still higher flight arc, but
faster in the air then expected. The three round-types that can
be fired:
[li]HEP (like Hellhound, or Brazil, but much lower pen),[/li]
[li]HEAT (still with low-ish pen),[/li]
[li]or staight HE (absolutely lowest pen (not sure why I'd even
use the HE rounds? Wouldn't the HEP be better in all
circumstances??)).[/li]
When top tier, I regularly get one-to-three one-shot kills of
tier 3/4 tanks. Against fives, I can still one-shot a lightly
armored tank destroyer. Bad news: seems to be nearly bloody
useless against 7's, unless I find a way to shoot 'em in the
back. Also, American Mediums appear to be its bane: M4, Easy8,
Jumbo, all have front armor too thick to even derp-damage It
seems as fast as a Chaffee, so ... if you like the Chaffee...
and can make the odd gun work in your favor, I'd highly
recommend it.
Bulwark(sp?) - Seems to be an okay Tier 5 medium. Not sure what
the hull is from. The gun is the top Matilda gun, the quick
firing, decent-pen 2-pdr. At tier 5, it is not quite as
powerful, but still pens nearly everything you'll encounter.
Shooting at 7's, though, is a major bummer for two reasons: pen
is much more difficult against a tier 7 medium or heavy, and the
alpha damage is so low compared to the HP of a 7....makes its
super tough to get any kills at all in a tier 7 match. On the
plus side, I found the armor, especially on the turret, to be
excellent against tier-5 opponents. Against 6's, it was still
pretty good. Will bounce a few rounds. 7's... with a German
'88, or 75? Not so much... and the Russian 122's can go right
through.
Anyway, that's my impressions. YMMV, void where prohibited,
does not include tax, title, or destination charges... Void in
Alaska, New Mexico, and, due a clerical error, Connecticut...

The tank sounds are just annoying, as is the music (going to
turn it off tonight if I can remember how). My 50-120 sounds
like a poorly running VW bug!

This!!! The T-34 line all have a high pitched whine that make my
teeth ache and head hurt. I have to mute to volume to play these
tanks.

So far I noticed the Liberte, 50 100 and Leopard PTA all have
that whine I just turn up my music

day....... turns out the whining was just the tank for once
