Mercenaries - The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

So what do you like and dislike,I was wondering what your
initial reactions to the update are.
Good- New maps and tanks.
Bad-In my opinion the 8 ops for a free tank are now too long.
Ugly- New engine sounds are horrible. My WZ131 screeches and I
find the sound really terrible.

The one thing that I’m having a problem with running the
contracts is what if you don’t have the tank or line so it turns
out to be a waste of time even trying to run them and I am not
paying to skip that part of the contract. :evil:

Much more money orientated than the ops they used to do 3 years
ago. 4 levels and you got a tank, now they want 8.

A couple of my tanks now sound more real to there size..... but
offset by a few with very whiny screechy noises that make me not
want to play them tanks.
Not sure what to make of the earn a tank stuff yet, I picked one
of the higher tier ones to aim at. Does take an age to reach
some stages as I could only use one tank at one stage.

The tank sounds are just annoying, as is the music (going to
turn it off tonight if I can remember how). My 50-120 sounds
like a poorly running VW bug!

Does your headset have dual volume controls? Game chat and
games sounds? I just turn down the game sounds on the turtle
beach. Problem solved... Also under audio options, you can
turn down the game volume.

That was my idea for later, tone the bad sounds down a bit.

The Jury remains sequestered. I spent a couple of hours
yesterday trying to log on to the server and begin the download
only to have a debug error stop the download. I screen shot the
error and forward it to WOT as requested. This I did and am
still waiting for a response from WOT. I am about to delete and
start over but I am not sure neither my ole 360 nor I can stand
the stress :scream: .

WOT responded to my ticket (24 hours later). I was informed that
the last update failed on the 360 platform. This required
extending the down time (only on the 360 users?) No note on the
WOT web support page - sad. In the mean time I deleted the game
and re-installed and all is well - timing is everything.
