WN8 Question

So...since I am not a mathematician or an expert on the WN8
calculations, I was wondering if someone could explain to me how
a persons WN8 can go up or down even when you don't play?

BattleAxe, here is my guess:
Since Win8 is based primarily on damage done in a given tank,
and since those weights/numbers for a tank are occasionally
updated, I'm guessing that would explain what you are seeing?
For example, according to:
HTML https://www.targetdamage.com/usa-tier-7,
the damage needed to
get 'purple' for the T20 is 1425.
I do not know the source of that 1425 figure; it feels too
'round', if you will.
What I think is that WOTINFO accesses some WarGaming API, and
can pull the 'average' damage for a given tank; the average
damage of all the recent drivers of the tank, and then based on
some formula, calculate what damage needs to be done in order to
get 'purple', 'blue', 'green', etc.
So if what the API returns for the average damage of all recent
drivers of the T20 changes, then I'd think that would change
your WIN8, even if you haven't played.
Oxi? Does the above sound correct to you?

Thanks for the reply Carl,
My research did lead me to this very cool and info packed
site...among the plethora of other info (your stats) it shows
WN8 expected damage for the various WN8 levels and they are not
rounded or stagnant as those found on the target damage site...
Check it out...This is really an awesome site...

Seriously though there was some discussion on WOT Forum about
wotstats (API I'm assuming they meant) being down...try again

I have an answer for you Axe on why your WN8 would go down even
though you did not play the game:
You did not have to put up with some of the dumbest asswipes in
the world on your team. Tier X lights in the back sniping (A
unicum player no less...imagine that), Tier X arties moving to
the front, E100's that flank.....all the way around the map, 11
tanks going to the hill on Prok and then not pushing!!!!!
If you don't put up with this every night they dock you for it
