Great post beast I am a Navy Vet. My Father was in the Navy in
WWII and had just shipped out three day before pearl Harbor
attack. He lost his brother my uncle in a fight for control of
the pacific island of Guadalcana. People forget so quickly about
the sacrifice that generation endured during and after the war.

Beast -thanks for your post. Thank you to all the veterans who
served and continue to do so to keep our country free. Thanks to
the veterans wives, husbands, and children who sacrificed at
home while their loved ones manned the ramparts across the
globe. My family has served from 1917 to today - Grandfather a
doughboy wounded in WWi, Father shot down over Denmark in WWII,
Uncle served in the Pacific in WWII, myself Viet Nam, Gulf of
Sidra for my son, Middle east for my granddaughter, and two
grandsons one is currently on board a littoral ship in the
Persian Gulf.

Salute to all vets everywhere, thank you for your service to our
country! :salute:
Sometimes wish I had stayed in, but if I had, I doubt I'd have
the honor of being a father to our family's second vet, my
daughter, a Combat Medic (68W).

sumptin' right! If you instilled the value of: Duty, Honor,
Country to your progeny!
My Heartfelt thank you!
My deepest respect for your CM!!!! Tell her, from me please.
"I never thought the most valuable part of my team under fire,
would be the MEDIC!!!" When I heard, "MEDIC" being Hollered
louder than "Sgt." ... When the shit hit the fan; we all needed
our Medic first and our Mommies second.
No Higher Honor I can think of. We Call for a CM before our
Mothers.
