On Track to the T110E5 (WoT event week)

Here is the link to the first ever Tier 10 event on XBOX,
starting tomorrow!
HTML http://worldoftanksxbox360edition.com/en/news/game-events/on-track-t110e5/
I had planned to buy my first ever tier 10 after this weekends
X5 promotion, the JgPZE100. Then at the end of the month I
hoped to have my second, the WT auf E100.
Those two both get great reviews across the internet, and at the
higher tiers I like firepower and pen over everything else.
But now this! A 30% discount on a tier 10 tank!!! But it is a
tank I had never planned to get from what I have seen of it out
there.
What does everyone think, about the event and about the
T110E5....at rock bottom prices!?!?!?

Not the best heavy or the worst.. struggles as a brawler has a
decent gun which is best used as support to the E100 or IS-7 ,
good for fast flanking and hit and run tactics... no good at
hull down due to exposed hatch.

Oooh, I've been thinking about re-buying the T-29 as a change up
from the T-20 medium. This makes it an even more attractive
thought.

I just noticed that this event is not for the week but for two
weeks!! Ends on August 24th...wow.
Thanks Tinka, yea that dang hatch, I have shot it many times and
can only imagine how aggravating it is to have. But I do like
tanks with great pen (like someone doesn't).
Saving 1.6M on a tank will be too much for me to pass up I am
sure....like my wife who buys a hideous "expensive" purse
because she "saved" $400....then never uses it because it is
hideous!

They need an E3 sale. The extra silver with the M103 will be
appreciated.

@Turkey you'd enjoy the British/Russian tier 10 heavies if it's
pen/dmg your after... only reason I never went after the British
alphabet soup is I played it to death during Beta.. having said
that though the IS-7 does the same only slower but better
armour.

Important!
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you sell any tank you upgrading
during the course of this event! Since each tank is DISCOUNTED
by 30% to purchase, that also means you get 30% less when
SELLING! And since selling a tank only nets you 50% of the
purchase price already, selling a tank is a HORRIBLE waste of
silver, especially in the higher tiers.
As mentioned in my silver guide, you should never, ever, ever
sell a tank you just upgraded to pay for the things you need on
a tank you just upgraded to.

I play my E5 as a medium/ heavy hybrid, more in the mold of the
Centurions. Fun tank to play, especially since I like some
mobility in my tanks. Like Tink said, definitely not a brawler
and keep that turret moving since that is the main weak spot.
