I think it is great idea. Most clans I looked into joining have
a "trial run" with senior members of the clan... I think we
should name it a "clan induction run".
I know it helped me get to know more of the seniors and staff,
after just one run with Cernig...
As a side question, does it make sense to have "official on
boarding personell" to help with this?
I think the mentoring and training should occur during platoon
       time, any platoon time.
Everyone has something to contribute right?
My point is; everyone has talent, everyone is interested in this
game enough to join our clan. I think making an effort to
embrace that and nurture that; sets this clan apart from the
rest... We all help each other get better... Nothing helps me
get better than looking across the map at a fellow OFF'er. That
has just managed to ammo rack me and set me on fire and being
able to ask them, how did you do that?,when did you see me? and
laugh about it in the garage.
I suggest just referring people to the plethora of links and
videos available for WOT for "basic training", the primary goal,
IMHO, should be creating the team dynamic and the benefts of
bringing together different minds with different points of view
and exploiting that to our advantage. Let's take advantage of
the the wisdom our clan mates have aquired as a group and not
try to rewrite history, if you will...

I know I am new here but wouldn't mind helping out ppl becoming
a little better while still making it fun. Let's face it, the
better you do in a particular tank the more fun it is going to
be. I have around 70 tanks of every tier and class so that
makes me a good candidate to help........well......anybody lol.
If you friend request me please put OFF in text or voice so I
       know who it is. Thanks

I'm only a mediocre tanker but have a ton of lower tier tanks
that I would be happy to rum with newer folks.
       :-)

I really like this idea! I mean we give them the welcome to the
forum why not a welcome to platooning? Help get their feet wet
and introduce them around a bit. Kind of a clan tour guide.

I haven't been in the clan for long, I'm not the best tanker or
even a Senior member but I would like to help with the greeting
part. The training part I can refer them to other clan members
that specialize in their particular tanks as well as referring
them to the links and videos available for WOT for "basic
       training".

sounds like a descent plan, I would be happy to help out any of
the newer members to platoon up

I'm good with heavy, TD, and arty. Whenever I have trouble
with the current tank I'm using or against the same model tank
in tons of battles I study them. Weak spots, reload times, etc.
Have been doing this since beta so I have some knowledge on a
       decent amount of different tanks.
Trust me though, I keep it fun. It this game became work I
       wouldn't play it.
Since I did not mention it yet. My tier X's are T110E5, T110E3,
       T92, IS7, M48 Patton. Currently on my E75 going for E-100. Up
to tier 7 British and Russian TD. That's all I can think of atm
       without sifting thru tech trees

Just a shout out thank you to MajorRusshole for providing me
with tips and feedback during a recent session. Don't know if
you're an official mentor but it was officially appreciated by
       me.
