OK guys, thanks for the suggestions.
The 2 Fire sticks arrive today and it looks like this weekend I
am going to check out the 5-day trial for PS Vue. I also just
upgraded the TV to an end of season 50" sharp (form a 40"
Samsung)... got a great deal at $400, unfortunately you cannot
add in apps and it doesn't have PS Vue, hence the stick.

i use KODI on my laptop over in the UK. ITS GREAT
on windows download the Kodi app and follow the instructions in
the link.

this works on android too, depending on the version of android
the above link wont work on anything 4.4.4 and under you need to
use this one instead

another cheap option is to use screen mirrowing from laptop to
tv. or use a chromecast connected to your telly
great for sports and movies. there are options to watch USofA tv
in there too

dont forget you can get these loaded with kodi. just do a search
on that there google

Yeah, I think I am going to sideload Kodi on one of the
sticks.... Give it a shot...

It's a pretty handy device Oxi.
Also, the Nvidia Shield TV android box is hard to beat for
streaming. I use it for KODI, PC game streaming and local video
streaming. With a GTX video card and Valve Steam you can stream
any PC video game to the big TV. Takes a little work to
configure the controller to replace the keyboard but it works
for most games. I'm playing WoWs on the 65 inch which is why
I've been a little absent from WoT this past month :).
We need to get a OFF clan going for WoWs. It's actually a game
that works very well for platooning. Nothing like taking down a
Yamato with DD torps. Sort of like a running the Deathstar lol.

There are a few of us that play WOWs. I played for a while,
same with COrbantis and BluebanditJim. Chris713 is still pretty
active on it I believe. My daughter monopolized the PC playing
Sims, so I have less time thatn usual to play PC games :hitself:

Well. I went with Playstation Vue.... and am pretty impressed.
I love the fact that for the $45 package I get my local
channels, ESPN/2/U, my local sports channels (Sox/Celts/Bruins),
a bunch of other regional sports including the Big10Network (for
you mid-westerners), and almost all the channels the wife and I
watch (including AMC, shich HULU doesnt have). THat and over 50
hours of a cloud DVR. Every now and then, especially on sports
there is some pixelation, not sure if it is WiFi enabled (gonna
get a hard wired Amazon Fire box soon).

They put up links when the
games are live. Works great in the Internet Explorer app on the
Xbox.
I used it yesterday and every stream worked beautifully. Full HD
picture. Some occasional buffering, but that could have been on
my end when phones and iPad were pulling on my router.
