I have a boatload of Free XP saved, but not spending it on a
Crew XP conversion. I'd rather use it to rugger some higher tier
tanks :beerbuddy:

He must have been trying to upgrade a crew with a fair number of
perks and skills already. It works best on noob crews, to get
them to 3, 4 or 5 p/s. Too expensive to upgrade good crews.

Rugger that is great advice. I have the same opinion use it to
get sixth sense and then you are good to go, at least you know
when the reds are looking at you.

From the forum - dunno if it is accurate, but it is laid out

This is the list of how much Crew exp is needed per skill/perk:
Skill/perk 1-4 require 100,800 crew exp each.
Skill/perk 5-8 require 201,600 crew exp each.
Skill/perk 9-12 require 403,200 crew exp each.
Skill/perk 13-16 require 806,400 crew exp each.
Skill/perk 17-20 require 1,612,800 crew exp each.
Skill/perk 21-24 require 3,225,600 crew exp each.
Skill/perk 25 requires 6,451,200 crew exp.
Free exp is earned at a rate of ~5% of your per match experience
earnings while Crew exp is earned at a 1:1 ratio.
Say for example, you have a fresh 100% trained crew with no
skills/perks. To get the first skill/perk by converting, you
would need 50,400 Free exp. For ONE skill/perk. ONE.
