My son really wants this. I think the price is a bit high, and
Microsoft saying limited supply is marketing bs. I am going to
wait until black friday and see what kinds of deals there are.
WARGAMING has said they are 4 k ready, so it will be kind of
neat to see that perspective. I will wait until price comes
down. This release should be the prelude to 360's end.

I am definitely going to get this, however, with any new tech I
would hold off until after the new year to see how the unit pans
out. The specs make it look fantastic, but I want to see how
good it works for myself, not just on how Microsoft shows us how
good it works.
Also, the price point should drop, just as it always has, I
would say starting in February of 2018 and continue to drop to
entice more people to buy.

I don't think the release is 4K ready though so you may want to
check on this. Read it somewhere recently.
