Come and join Wargaming, the First Division museum and the
Cantigny Park crew in a series of activities for the whole
family to celebrate the re-opening of the museum’s renovation!
THE FIRST DIVISION - WHAT IS THE BIG RED ONE?
The 1st Infantry Division of the United States Army, nicknamed
“The Big Red One,” was the first unit to deploy and engage in
battle during WWI, WWII, and Vietnam. Established on June 8,
1917, the First Division has taken part in nearly every American
War and is the longest continuously-serving division of the US
Army. “The First Division Museum’s mission is to present a
complete history of the 1st Infantry Division,” said Paul
Herbert, Executive Director of the First Division Museum at
Cantigny Park “We owe that to our soldiers and veterans and also
to those who visit Cantigny.”
Wargaming Player Gathering Attendees will also have the
opportunity check out a variety of tanks located across the
park. Cantigny’s outdoor Tank Park collection includes: The
155MM French Schneider Howitzer, The M1 Abrams, The M113 APC,
M1902 3-Inch field Gun, M1917 Light Tank, M24 Chaffee, M41A3
Walker Bulldog, M46 Patton Tank, M47 Patton Tank, M48 Patton
Tank, M5 Stuart Tank, M551A1 Sheridan, M60 Patton Tank and the
T26E4 Pershing Tank!

Guns i can deal with, but the "and stuff" has def got me
skeered!! :bigsmile: :scared:
I will be in the Carol Stream Hampton Inn.....funny part is the
flight upgrade to first class was $140 so i grabbed that - never
flown first class before!! :celebrate:
So we gots Maddog, Jim, me and......?!?!?! Think i will see what
Chilli River Rat is up to?

Brad, I may order something to go with your room...I wonder what
the hotel's policy is regarding farm animals?

Chilli was there last time, but we never were able to meet up.
Those that are going should exchange cell numbers, or we should
agree to meet at a certain place on the grounds at a
pre-determined time. Event starts at 10am - I plan to be there
around 9:30 or so.
I may have the wife and daughter with me, but they will most
likely be walking the park to check out the gardens and other
things they have there.
