Comp Obsession

It seems like that lately OFF has become obsessed with comps and
not platooning with other OFFers. More than once, many times
actually, I have been platooning with other OFFers and then ten
more jumps on and it's off to the training room and I'm left
high and dry. Now when OFF was doing skills training, which
lasted for only about 3 weeks or so, it was very helpful in
improving one's game. But now that OFF has their comp obsession
the only thing that gets any training is the comp team and if
you're not on it then you're SOL. I thought that OFF was
supposed to be a somewhat social club that focused on improving
their members and platooning with friends but it seems that line
is just BS. Really makes me wonder why the hell I'm still in
OFF as I might as well just do some solo tanking... whatever...

There are normally between 9-14 members at any comp team
session. The sessions normally last an hour give or take. I
can tell you as a fact, the first thing I do after a comp
session: is to send out a platoon invite to the party. I can
also tell you as fact, the second thing we do is look for who is
online and send invites to try and fill as many platoons as
possible.
This week has been a little crazy as we had 3 comp matches and
one practice session, maybe that is where your misperception
originated.
Either way, there are over 80 members in OFF last I checked, so
I can't see your point of OFF being comp obsessed if only 9-14
members are involved in a comp session at any given time.
Please send me a friend request and I will make sure to send you

Actually there are 108 active members (folks that have tanked in
the last month).

NP Beast. Looks like there is another 20 plus that just have not
played tanks in some time. Unfortunately for Rugby is that he
platoons with everybody on the comp team for the most part. That
said, I can understand Rugby's perspective.

No its not if one doesn't usually have the time to make that
commitment. The comp team seems to have a fairly busy schedule
and I won't make a commitment to a team if I honestly don't know
if I can live up to it. Wouldn't be fair to the other people on
the team don't you think? So, not the simple solution you
suggest it is...

Rugby,
Have you on my friends list. We have a match at 9:30 PM EST
tonight. Join the party around 10:15 PM and you will be amongst
the first to know how we did/are doing! Right after the
matches; we can platoon up if it fits your schedule.
Check the shout box as most times for comp sessions are posted
there and you can always be guaranteed some platoon time right
after. If it fits your schedule.

Rug,
Have you sent FR to members listed in our club page? As large as
we are there are plenty of non-comp OFFers playing 24/7. I'm
certain they would always enjoy another person to tank with.

Yes, I agree with Corbantis. There are many great OFFers that do
not compete but run quite a bit. All the OFFers I know don't
mind if you jump into their parties and ask to run.
You could also host an event to include non competition OFFers,
that would be fun :Olaf:
