The Battles of Khalkhyn Gol were the decisive engagements of the
undeclared Soviet–Japanese border conflicts fought among the
Soviet Union, Mongolia and the Empire of Japan in 1939. The
conflict was named after the river Khalkhyn Gol, which passes
through the battlefield. In Japan, the decisive battle of the
conflict is known as the Nomonhan Incident
(ノモンハン事件
Nomonhan jiken?) after a nearby village on the border between
Mongolia and Manchuria. The battles resulted in the defeat of
the Japanese Sixth Army.
There was no note of how many of each model tank the Russians
brought to the battle, just a few statements of "The tanks
consisted of primarily BTs with a handful of T-26s...in all,
some 498 BT-5 and BT-7 tanks." I would suggest, in making it
more balanced, that we include some BT-2 tanks, a Tier II
Russian Light, using the BT-5G/6th package. The BT-2 later
packages can be the BT-5 missing from WoT in name, as the BT-2
developed into the BT-5, as evidenced by the available packages
on the tank in WoT.
Battle of Khalkhin Gol
Japanese
(I took the liberty of making the tank-ettes into Tier II Lights
- otherwise, numbers are accurate per wiki)
Type 95 Ha-Go light tanks, Tier II light - 6 - 2nd or Kyu-Go pkg
Type 89 I-Go medium tanks, Tier II med - 5 - top pkg
Type 97 Chi-Ha medium tanks, Tier III med - 4 - stock/1st pkg
Russian
T-26s, Tier II Light - 4 - Mod 1938/3rd pkg
BT-2, Tier II Light - 7 - BT-5G/6th-final pkg
BT-7, Tier III Light - 4 - Mod 1937/2nd pkg
Game Variant: Team Destruction
Maps - Steppes, Redshire, Tundra, Malinovka and Murovanka
Brad did most of the work on this :salute:
I just did some math and copy/paste to make it look pretty
