XXX got me thinking...
By: AhBuaya Date: January 3, 2017, 5:47 pm

While running XXX with some of the Squiggy bunch (BadSquiggy,
DuckSquiggy, TriumphSquiggy, FaceatorSquiggy) last night got me
thinking about how the RNG supposedly works.
We would always win the first on or two battles and then decline
into blaming the Greens for our losses. First the losses would
be close, but would quickly become routs and eventually sink
into a 0-15 pit of hell. Then it would slowly get better again
and eventually we'd get a win again.
I'm thinking if playing 3-4 games and disbanding/forming up the
platoon for the 5 and so would cheat out the RNG system?
BTW, Faceator is like Skeletor with a lot more face and meat!
:troll:

Someone posted on the WG forums years ago. I don't believe
being in a platoon doesn't matter. The individual W/L of the
individual does. Could try it though. And also try this:
alternate between Tier X and Tier Ii & III. That should give a
good spread on RNG rolls.

I don't believe you can beat RNG but I'm willing to try anything
at this point. Still had fun Monday, thank you guys for
allowing me to partake.

Warsteiner (i know - Boo! Hiss!) posted a long time ago on our
forum (I tried but could not find it :palm:) that WGs
matchmaking algorithm is patented and reviewable. Those that
reviewed (and could understand the damn thing - legalize +
computer code + statistics = bleeding eyeballs for me) said that
- despite WGs protestations to the contrary - your overall
win/loss plus win/loss over a given time period are all used to
determine the team you will end up in.
It is also structured so that it tries to create an environment
where everyone is at 50% win rate. This is for both solo and
platooned play, but platoons can often overcome this for a
number of reasons.
We ran a pretty good platoon a lot a long time ago with high-ish
win rates, and when our greens folded like a house of cards in a
hurricane, we would look at win rates, and 8 or 9 times out of
ten we were paired with 45% or lower win rate greens. Then we
would compare with the other teams numbers and they just about
always had a better spread of win rates around 50% as compared
to our high and low win rate team. I know the old platoon we had
was still able to often overcome this, and when i run with the
uni/super unis in CXL we normally still are able to carry high
win rates.
This doesnt prove anything, but the continual coincidence does
lend credence to the idea that WG did uses their patented match
making.
