Actually, good arty drivers can make a huge difference in a
match and we've got some great ones in this clan. Faethor,
Prophecy Pawn, Husky Coach, and Jarhead in particular are fun to
roll with when they're running their arty.
Conversely, lousy arty players (As per Jarhead's example) are
simply a waste of space and take up a valuable tank slot.

So that being said. Would you want OFFer's to platoon with you
with their Arty? I have a Hummel that I run quite a bit. Just
don't roll Arty with OFF platoons. :arty:

Thanks for shout out Shard.A good arty should pick his targets
eg. the higher tier TDs they have the ability to quickly do a
lot of damage.Me and Phunk have artied up and swung the tide of
battle quite often.I have noticed that since the last update it
is harder to get your shots to go where you want them,a shot
that should be bang on target misses the target by yards.

I wonder if the last update added a wind factor that wasn't
there before. I have not played an arty since the last update,
but I have noticed the game is getting glitchy lately. TKE had
his screen go black 3 times in one match last night and I keep
getting server delays.

Thank you Shard for the Kudo. Some things to think about when
platooning or playing with Arty.
1. Communicate with your Arty guys/gals about what you want them
to do help in a certain area, etc. Work as a team.
2. Lead enemy tanks into the open don't follow into blind spots
or behind buildings.
2. Don't rush the battle play conservative spot enemy tanks
request fire and hunker down a good Arty can do some good
damage/kills and make your kills/game easier.
3. Watch your Arty's blind side protect them and/or tell them
when they need to relocate if they have not already.
4. Since the last update the accuracy has been really bad and
the aim time is ridiculous. I'm sure this may of has something
to do with players complaining about Arty having too much
influence in the game I'm not sure just my opinion.
5. Some people may be good Arty players and some not so much
take the good with the bad and if you get a good one that helps
you in the game thank him/her with a Thank you message. My 2
cents. :wink:

I think I am a good artillery player, but they are a fickle
mistress. You can hit 8 out of 12 one game and 2 out of 12 the
next. I swear shots are landing outside of the impact area.

After a seriously long grind for the XP and then for the Money I
bought the Hummel. Moved my great Grille crew into it.
3 Battles, one win, 1 kill. What the #$%@. Average damage per
battle 380. Kill Death 0.50.
My Grille: 69 battles, 59 kills, average damage 505, 1.51 Kill
Death. Result? Sold the Hummel piece of $%@* and moved my crew
back into the Grille.
No more tier 6 or up arty for me. Probably should have gone the
US line :(

I play a ton of Arty and it is hard to answer all the calls for
fire. When I'm working on a tank and someone on the other side
if the map calls for fire, I'll be honest, I don't swing over
there. It gets frustrating at times. It's like some takers
expect Arty to be shadowing them and them only. I always mark
who I'm firing on so others know, and I try my best to assist
others when done with the first guy.
I'm at the Hummel and the M44. The Hummel is more accurate but
the M44 does more damage imo that is.

I have owned FOUR Hummels hated all of them.I pushed past to
the GWPanther and all the way to the GWTiger.I now only have a
Grille and my trusty GWPanther.I found the Hummel so hit and
miss it was no fun playing,

I agree with Prophecy. The hummel was tough going but the
GWpanther is worth the grind. I think its the most reliable in
terms of accuracy and consistant damage in my experience.
