Who are these "family & friends" you speak of?
       What about Friday night (12/23)?
How about something desert related? First Battle of El Alamein,
Second Battle of El Alamein, Battle of Gazala, Operation
Crusader, Operation Battleaxe, Operation Torch, Battle of Alam
el Halfa, Operation Brevity, Battle of Kasserine Pass, or Battle
of Bardia are some that come to mind. All had armor from German
and Italian forces on the Axis side, and depending on the
battle, British, American, Australian, and Free French on the
       Allied side.
For example, for the Battle of Brevity, the German armor
consisted of the 2nd Battalion of the 5th Panzer Regiment.
During the month of May '41 when the battle took place, the last
known strength of this unit was 30 Pz I Ausf A (Tier II, final
package), 41 Pz II Ausf G (Tier III, final pack.), 74 Pz III
Medium tanks (Tier IV, 1st pack.), and 20 Pz IV Medium tanks
       Ausf H (F2) (Tier V, 2nd pack.).
British armored units present were the 22nd Guards Brigade and
the 7th Armored Division, consisting of 24 Matilda tanks (Tier
IV, final pack.) and 29 Cruiser Mk IV tanks (Tier III, 3rd
       pack.).

James, I didn't intend to give you hell! Just wanted the 360
guys to stick with group and work as a team. Once we did that we
       defeated the Germans

Really like Chuck 's idea! Love to see some battles with tanks
that actually had some real numbers in WWII. Would also be nice
to see these low tier vehicles driven with seriousness and
caution like the real ones were.

Thanks Chuck - that is exactly what we need - a breakdown of the
vehicles involved so that we incorporate the ratios into our
       battle.
Like John, i would welcome a chance to play a competitive match
with these vehicles. Plus if anyone had to purchase vehicles
back to have the right tanks it should not be too expensive or
an issue whether they have been opened up.
Where were you able to find the tank listings? I had tried
finding a breakdown like this for the Bulge, but with no luck.

Brad, what particular area or time period of the campaign do you
       want?

Dunno - couldn't find Battle of Brevity (thought that was an odd
name since i had not heard of it :sceptic: ) but there was
       Operation Brevity which you mentioned
       earlier.....
  HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Brevity
The one you mentioned is fine, as explained in the wiki article.
Did like seeing that Skorpion Pass is obviously based on the
German follow up operation to re-capture the Halfaya Pass -
Operation Skorpion......the map still sucks though.
Great news is that there were so many armor encounters that we
have a basically unlimited resource of options. The Middle
eastern campaigns you mentioned are a good start, but the
earlier Battle of France and Operation Barbarossa would allow us
to play lower tier tanks in historical settings. And, would also
give us the same benefits of avoiding having to have spend gobs
of silvers for repurchases or having most, if not all, of the
       vehicles opened up.

We could do like a series of these. Starting towards the
beginning of the war with the French fall and British withdraw.
Then move up the time line with newer tanks and maps.

@Brad, Operation Brevity is correct...transposed "Battle of"
       instead of Operation...age showing :old:
Yes, most of my info came from Wiki, but there are a ton of
records out there just waiting to be sourced for Clan activities
such as these. For example, my wife was able to track her
father's progress through France until getting wounded in April
'45, just by looking up unit records and written accounts of the
engagements he was involved in. For the above information on the
German TOE, I used this site: Niemack's Place
  HTML http://users.skynet.be/niemacks_place/.

Wiki actually gives the British TOE on their page.
@Dale, that is an excellent idea! I would shift "wife time" to
       another evening for sure :thumb:
