Impacts: 10-15 foot surge at mouth of St. John's River.
Inland on Intercoastal Waterway through to Orange Park ,FL surge

Saturday.
Wind effects: Western SW Duval County: sustained winds 80-100
mph, gusts to 130 mph. Beaches 110+ sustained, gusts to 145mph.

Even though I am on the west coast of Florida, Pinellas
County has cancelled all schools. This is an unprecedented
move, and I have been living here, going on 20 years.
I have the whole east coast in my prayers, if you have
never been in one or witnessed first hand the force of a
hurricane, it is not something to mess around with. My hope is
that it veers off into the Atlantic and withers away and dies.
Joe stay safe, brother and anyone else out on the east
coast!

All you right-coasters, please watch yourselves and your
families - stay safe, and take no unnecessary chances (looking
at you, Jeff lol).
I been through a couple of these...once in Houston, and once in
Galveston...not something you'll ever forget :scared:
